Question to a [MOD] or [GM]

If I report a person with (just saying. plz dont infract.) Ass in their name, do they get some sort of penalty, or forced name change? Just wanting to know, because I see at least 10 players a day with it in their name and wanted to know if I can report them successfully.

Any players with a bad name will have their name changed immediately to "badname#####". Report them at once!

Clan search "****ers" and you'll see entire clans that need to have their changes.

wanting to know, because i reported a person for this and ...

my ticket was closed but his name is still ass-oath* and the others names are still ass-(random word), does it take effect immediately?

Just check again tomorrow; the clan page probably has to update.

ok, i reported them out of rage, they angered me and forced my hand by calling me no skill noob. and hacker, and wont acknowledge that i pinpointed them, and have axes longer than katana, and hit me from halfway across a map with lag teleport, and hit me from around a corner... and so on

I dont really class Ass as much of a bad word.... afterall it actually does mean donkey....

But are you telling me you would be offended by someone called - BadAss. ?

dont force my hand, i will not report unless provoked, also, here is the account of one of them, alot more than ass in his name. (sorry for making this accusation .) http://clan.z8games.com/charstat_cf.aspx?usn=14242606 ... how he got that through the censors, i have a very good idea, and it involves an illegal third party program.

I did a CW against them a few days ago, they were walling hard. Crouched down in long A barrack they shot me one shot with an M4 regular, took out 100 HP and didn't even get a through material shot and it wasn't a headshot.

i thought they were hacking.... they didnt have the invisighost and they failed bhop but pretty sure they had longknife; one hit me from end of hallway with a slash to the chest killed and said that it wasnt him at the end of hallway
i watched replay, they watched us through walls and etc,

Yeah he claimed it was 'lag hit' when he shot me. But I hadn't moved in a while because I was sitting there so they would show the hack by shooting me through it. =D

Yes. You can send in a complaint ticket with a zip folder of the screen shot.
Same thing can be done for harassment claims.

Harassment can lead to temp bans, and improper names will lead to forced name changes to Badname####.

If you have a hacusation, please send in the proper hacking report ticket.

Going by this logic, someone could use Fag in their name since it means a bundle of sticks or cigarette.

While we do have some word limits built in upon clan creation, not all of them are effective, as you might be suggesting here.

However with a database of hundreds of thousands of clans it's not always easy to peruse the db for specific bad names. In this case we rely on the community to help us find these people.

Also because the context of some names gives rise to leniency in some cases. IE if the player doesn't find the name offensive then they won't report it, and perhaps that's an indication we don't need to spend the manpower to change the name.

However when a name does get reported to us, we make the judgment call based on our policies and can go ahead and change the name accordingly.

Most of this has been addressed so I'll close off the thread.

The word "ass" isn't necessarily a censored word however depending on the context there is probably justification to change the name. Please send these requests/reports to http://support.z8games.com. Thanks!
