How exactly do you break your gun?.

It used to be just how much you fired it, but now it seems to be different, with the heavier weapons breaking faster, i think it goes by how long you used it in a match... GM and SND are great ways to break guns if you play a full 13 round game
If this is true, I will try my luck in WS where all that people play is GM/SD.
PS
I just want to yell you that ever since my VISA expired back in '08, I haven't had a slurrpee or a slushy in YEARS...or a decent smoothie.. -
I believe it's just having the gun out during a COMPLETED game that the system automatically adds on the amount of GP needed to repair it.
I'm not sure how that calculation is done, or why some weapons require a higher maximum repair cost than other guns. (ie, the M700 vs a temp AWM).
I'm just speculating here. Don't think what I said is gold.
Ps, did you realize you could have purchased a decent smoothies or slushy/slurpee with cash?

The biggest factor in how much your gun breaks is time.
To be more precise, the amount of time you played with a bag active. Being dead doesn't count in round based games. For it to count as active you have to be alive and fired at least 1 shot. The longer a game the more damage and GP you receive.
The biggest proof of this was back when the tutorial glitch was active.
People would play 13 round SND games that lasted less then 2 minutes.
The GP amount was only about 10-30 GP per game but with easily 400+ EXP. -
Not one?!?! :O!alkiroth225 wrote: »If this is true, I will try my luck in WS where all that people play is GM/SD.

Yes, you have a point with the tutorial glitch, but ive fired 1-3 shots abd had a game end right away and not have to repair my wepThe biggest factor in how much your gun breaks is time.

If the game ends very fast you may not get any damage to a weapon.
I've had GM games I just joined, kill 1 ghost, and defuse the bomb, and only get 5 GP total from. -
Not one?!?! :O!
Not one. =(
There was this stand in Chula Vista that had the most delicious Strawberry and Banana Smoothie..I believe it's just having the gun out during a COMPLETED game that the system automatically adds on the amount of GP needed to repair it.

Lol!. By VISA, I actually meant my U.S. passport. That's how it's called here, I think.. :S -

Just use the gun alot :P -

Yep. I played a couple SnD matches. All 13 rounds from start to finish and right now my Ak47 is at half quality.
I'm a good 100% sure that the LONGER you are using the bag which contains the weapon you want to break, the faster it breaks.
[Off topic] I ended one with 26-10 and someone told me to get a life. xD
Made me feel like a pro ^~^ -

They are correct, and too add to it, it is the gun slot used. So if you're using an m4, drop it and pick up an ak, the damage is still dealt to the m4. Which means no one can break another persons gun, I hear to many complain about this...
And to further the point, this is why you can go entire rounds without breaking your secondary gun, unless you swap to it to move faster. -
So to sum it all up.
1. 13 round games are a must.
2. Stay alive the majority of the rounds.
3. Constantly use the same bag.
4. Make sure to overkill targets.
Am I right?
Nope you are not right.
1. Its all about time you spend in a room playing
2. You dont have to stay alive, ITS ALL ABOUT TIME
3. Yes, you have to use the bag with the gun you would like break
4. You dont have to kill someone with this gun, the only thing is, you have to fire it ONCE in the room you are in. For ex. you jin a 13rd SND, so u have to fire this gun only in the first round for 1 time, and you dont have to do it in all the other rounds.
5. before z8 games had the autokick-function if you are afk, it was pretty easy to break every gun (like PSG/MP) and so on), you had to be in a room with a friend adn shoot only one and could be afk for the whole time of the game without moving or something else, but now its impossible, couse you get aoutokicked after 2 rounds
.
6 The are 2 catogories: the guns which breaks for 10k of GP( AWM, K2, M4, XM8), and those for 2,5k, they are all the other and all pistols. The quality of the guns (but only temp-guns) seems to keep the same, even if the gun is boken to 9999GP, but if you get to 10k its rety unusable. In the former days, it was not so, you have had like 5-6 steps, first was -10% acc, second -10%acc and 5% power and so on,till you break it completely, but hrey have janged it for like 1,5 years.
Hope I could help, I'm breaking all temp guns since BM is out. -

^These are correct
If you want to test it join a TDM with a friend, kill him once, and don't fire your gun again. At the end of the 20 minutes or so, you'll have damaged your gun quite a bit. (as long as nobody dcs from being idle).
Doesn't matter what gun you're using as long as you're using the correct bag, and you can switch your gun for someone elses and as WB said it will still break the gun that was your primary in your bag that you're using.
