Difference in ping
can any1 tell me the difference between 50- 150 ping and how bad they affect ur shooting performance. i hav no idea. i normally get 350-450 ping. i felt a little difference and with about 280-320 ping i massacre every1 while normally they kill me like hell. so is 50-150 ping difference same as mine or what?

Ping is usually measured in Milli-seconds. Or units 0f 1,000. (This is assuming Z8 is having each number of ping equal 1 millisecond).
A Ping of 400 would mean that its takes 0.400 seconds for you to receive data from the server and 0.400 seconds to sent it to the server. The server decides what happens.
Add the standard reaction time of a normal person, which is 0.250 seconds and you have a complete 1.050 seconds delay.
The higher ones ping the older the data they get. Older data means the less accurate it is.
Higher ping also takes longer to send data.
Example:
You see a target running. You aim and start shooting at him. He then turns around and kills you. You did no damage even tho you say bullets hit him.
What happened?
When you saw your target the data you got was already 0.400 seconds old, characters can run at about 8 meters a second in this game. So he really is about 3 meters ahead of where you see him. Next comes your reaction time of 0.200 seconds and then the data of your reaction is sent. It takes 0.400 seconds to reach the server. By the time the server gets the data the target is no where near where the shots are hitting. thus its a total miss. He probably sees the bullets passing him and turns around to react to you.
A ping of 50 is very good. It means only about a 0.050 second delay. Meaning all data is very accurate and what they see is most likely whats really happening.
Another factor is that graphics data takes a bit to process.
With high ping its possible to get hit 3-5 times before you receive the data. Because you got hit this many times the server sends the death signal to you and that takes less time to process then graphics data. Meaning it can appear that you died with 1 or no shots at all hitting you.
Very few people know how ping affects the game. Many hack accuse others even tho its because of the ping that it looks like a hack.
The game runs on everyones computer, the server decides what happens.
High ping leads to the computer and server seeing completely different things.
2 computers and the server.
Computer 1 with low ping sees the computer 2s player is missing melee swings by meters.
Computer 2 with high ping sees that it is hitting computer player 1 repetitively.
The server sees that computer 2 is barely missing computer 1 repetitively.
3 different view points, but in the end its the servers alone that matters.
To match the servers view point one needs to have as low as ping as possible. -
thanks VATAV wat u describe is good and what RTOman says doesnt help. i m a loyal fan to CF NA and i dont like CF philipine. i m from malaysia. me and mine classmates and frien had play b4 MM and HM. we hit each other about 100+ times and many times none of us mutate

Try playing in West Coast server?
Your ping really does matter to how can play. Less than 280 is usually playable but beyond that, it's close to impossible.

any suggestion to lower ping besides of the usual clear junk files, gamebooster stuff cause they r not helping. my cousin which lives 400+ km away play with 200+ ping which sux for me if i canot play better than my cousin. and does a better internet speed help for example i wan 2 change from 1mbps to 5mbps internet?

Gamebooster and the likes will not help with ur ping , simply ur internet connection and living closer to the server will help.. -

Play in west coast server. It's closer to Malaysia.
Only way to get lower ping is too live closer to the server. Even the best internet can only probably get you 200 ping. -

mbps isn't how fast a connection is, its how much data it can send a second.
But 1mbps is incredibly low. A standard wifi wireless connection here in the US is 54mbps and that is considered low. Low mbps can impact game performance so upgrading it would be ideal.
Ping can't be lowered easily. You need to either move closer to the server or hope a better connection path is made to it. Both options are impractical. -
the things that really gets me when i play in alpha is the time it takes to switch weapons with a higher ping... in uk servers weapons switch immediately but when im in lets say alpha i will try switch weapons really fast, lets say i switch to knife and then back to main really fast, it just swaps to the knife and doesnt even realise I have already pressed to swap back to the main
