Signed.
Here's to making our voices heard! -
There's alot of powerful people and companies backing people to making sure SOPA never occurs. So it will be interesting how the war plays out. If it does pass, I highly doubt people will accept it for very long even those who supported it when they realize how much it affects them.

There is however quite a few powerful companies against it. Including many companies of which are angry at ESA for their support in it.
I still can't believe Activision. They owe it to the people to go against it. CoD wouldn't be as popular as it is without sites like Youtube. The only reason they have to actually support it is to stop other games from becoming as popular from the free advertisement of others.
I have signed a few petitions, and wrote a few letters. I'll sign the whitehouse.gov one soon. -
Yeah, apparently the Congressman decided to back down on the second provision denying access to a suspected foreign copyright infringing site. I don't think he has enough votes to override a veto, even if he does have enough to pass the bill.Oh hey, a news update.
"The SOPA vote has been held up until consensus can be reached after The White House weighed in against the bill over the weekend."

Interesting articles a decade ago from Janis Ian:

She pretty much pointed out the hollow argument they used then and still use now. And she shows that, in her experience, sales go up because of the availability of free material. Her argument is that if sales are down, examine the product for deficiencies instead of blaming the consumer.
