does high FPS mean little lag(at least from wat i heard). i got 200+ fps but i lag like hell (360-450 in alpha server, 240-315 at US west Coast server)

If your ping is over 150-200, it doesn't matter how much FPS you have, you'll still lag. Having a high FPS will only make the lag from your high ping seem not as noticable.

Btw- FPS is only your refresh rate and your ping is your actual connection speed.

Hmmm I don't know why you lag so much. maybe try resetting your internet router or re-locating it. I usually have around 70-90 ping in Alpha and about 100 fps. Where are you from? maybe try UK servers :P (i get 180 ping in UK)

Nope i have 274 fps or sometime 97 and 157 and i can say thath my ping is fixed to 60..Try to go in uk server if its laging more than alpha server...Try to be in the same room/(chamber) of your connexion box..then you'r lag will be fixed to 70-60..The fps don't matter on this..And if you'r listening to music / or you download something stop it.If your mum/dad/bro/sister is dowloading or listen to music..Ask them to stop it:D! cause sometime my mom is listening to music and its make me 300 ping or higher...I hope i answered to you correctly..

i know, i live in malaysia i get high ping but i c b4 ppl get 160+ ping in US west server who is from malaysia, and i canot call my father stop downloading, so my game becomes lag, and i hate lag despite ppl say lag givs u a major advantage

Less ping = no lag

Unless you've got a ludicrously low FPS (0-5, to the point where your CPU can barely process the game) then your ping won't change in the slightest when your FPS does.

It's really a shame that people still think that ping has some direct correlation with one's GRAPHICS CARD...

I mean, really. The most you'll ever see someone who has a weak Gfx Card do is run slowly (SOMETIMES) even when their ping is low. But if their ping is HIGH, you see nothing but lag.

FPS = Frame Per Second, is the number of images that displays on your screen a second.
Minimal required is 24 (what the eyes of the human can catch)

More the Frame Per Second is high, more your screen will be faster.

The "lag" is the ping.

Less the ping is, better it is.

You're considerated as a lagger when you reachs 180 Ping.

The ping is time for the server to send an answer (in milliseconds).
