Play CF on xubuntu (linux) ?

Hi all

First, I'm sorry for my bad english but I'm french.
I'm searching to play at crossfire with xubuntu, can you tell if it is possible or not please ?
I did found any version for linux

(i get one link but it don't work when i try to start the file downloaded)

yes its possible

you can run crossfire in linux

download virtual box and compile it
install windows and crossfire
and you can play
tadaaa!

I tried it, but i did'nt run because of a message of error appear: "cannot run on a virtual machine"
And more, i think it will so laggy..
