1. try to run the game in compatibility XP.
2. If this error continues, go to control panel and update your windows with ''WINDOWS UPDATE''

It's strange, it is not from me because 4 mounths ago everythink was right i could play crossfire but now, nothing. I am waiting for a answer to really help me in my problem.

Im getting this as well just tried to play. The error says something about a backround program running conflicting with x trap. I have no programs running but the issue may be linked with something opened and needed for the operating system to run conflicting with x trap.

Mumble seems to do this to me, Xfire used to but Z8 has fixed it. Get Gamebooster and turn Gaming mode on and see if it will work then.

This worked. If you are getting this error and still want to play without waiting i suggest you do what this guy says

And what exactly i have to do to wark the crossfire game? I didn't understand too more.
I am stoping all processes when i am playing a game so nothing is running in background.

After running gamebooster and having it close out all unnecessary processes, try running CF again.

If the problem persists, or if there is a new problem, can you post an entire windows screenshot? Thank you!

The problem persist and it is the same, scaned my computer with 3 different antivirus system (smart security 5 by nod 32, bitdefender 2012, kaspersky 2012 and advance system care and i optimized my computer, after i run and do all processes with gamebooster the problem persist

A small pro-tip: Having multiple anti-viruses may cause conflicts with each other, not to mention the larger amount of process reallocation for each of them.

I ask you, can you do an ENTIRE windows screenshot (prt+scn, past to paint, upload and paste forum link) of the error as it happens? Thank you!

I just install antivirus i scan my computer and i uninstall it, for ex i install nod32 i scaned and i uninstaled it and i intall another antivirus in present i have just one antivirus i will edit this post with prints.

Hey Guys , the unique solution is to update your windows. WINDOWS UPDATE. since updating the system, removes viruses and have a more compatibility system

Try this.
Right clik on desktop icon for CF, select " open file location "
Double clik on xtrap folder and delete all contents, now run crossfire
it should re install files.
Might work Might not but its worth a try..

I tried but X-trap is not loading his file and the game dont start, now i have to reinstall the game, anythink thanks for your attend, i appreciate.

My sistem is good, i mean, 2 mounths ago, i had the same OS and everythink was right but 1 week ago when i tried, error
