Ghost Mode

So i havent been playing this game for over 6 months and i came back today, i played GM since im the best at it.

I couldnt hear anything, ANYTHING. I asked my friend to join me in a private game to see if i could hear his breath, i couldnt hear him at all except when he was next to me and not moving.

Im using Logitech G35 headset and wondering if it has any problems with the game ? or has anything changed since the last 6 months ? Thanks.

  • To my knowledge (unless it was like super recent within a few days) there hasn't been anything that changed Ghost Mode in regards to breath. It might be better to check your headphones or possibly get a clean install of Crossfire (sometimes broken files happen),

Either that or keep away from the sprayers. ;p

Thanks. I will reinstall to make sure.

I got a G35 to and I have the same problem.....
Compared to 6 months ago I could hear ghost across the map.

    Now barely sometimes.....

Only thing that I got so far that have helped me:

turn all the equalizer off even the one's from realtek or any other sound software you got.
Be sure the wave sound is on max(for XP)
be sure all the setting of the sound are on default.

Use the stereo don't use virtual only messes up the breath
and be sure the speakers settings are on wide 7.1(In XP/vista/w7 but once again be sure that you use the stereo option ingame you know that little button back on the headphone's option to turn it off so it's on the stereo mode

You mean the button that changes from 5.1 to 7.1? what does it have to do with stereo?
