Patrick Bateman is from a bad movie.

Alan Shore is from the series Boston Legal.
Also sometimes in The Practice, but I haven't watched that yet and its a more serious drama, BL is more drama with lots of humor.

I've seen American Psycho, am now reading the book. Am enjoying more the book than the movie.

And still searching around for Boston Legal & maybe The Practice -.-
