And how would this help actually look like if the person is not able to ban accounts? He could just kick anyone in-game or report them in game and doesn't have to send a ticket or what? Just curious. -

In other words, filtering out the replays that don't show any signs of hacking, or reports of hackers that have already been dealt with though an earlier report. Thus leaving the reports with actual hackers that still need banning, for the second wave that has the power to deal with them. -

i propose how you can do it.
1. A team of volunteers. They fix hackers, kik them from the game and ban them for a 60 days . It's a good term for any appeal and investigation. If no appeal or appeal rejected by Z8 employee - they get a permanent ban.
2. The main reward for that job - CF without hackers. Good reward, isn't it? If you want - you can reward that volunteers by game weapons, crates or something else. Without real money. And no problem with tax inspection, isn't it?
And you can try to test my proposal with only one of volunteer. If tests show the effectiveness of my proposal - it will be possible to begin the selection of this group. If my proposal would be ineffective, you will not lose prestige of Z8Games.
I propose get one of moderators with high confidence and test my proposal with him. -

imho, bad proposal. Because hacker join to another room and spoil game again. Only temporary ban (when that sucker CAN'T JOIN to CF and CAN'T SPOIL the game) can help in battle with noobs, who don't want to play fair. imho -

For kicking ok, maybe also kicking from server not just from game, but banning wouldn't work here as saidin said in the quote already, even if it would just be temp. But kicking would be enought too, wouldn't it?[GM]Saidin wrote: »One of the large issues, which touches on legalities previously discussed is the fact that someone who does not work for G4Box or Z8Games or Cross Fire ultimately ends up deciding the fate of an account. Not to mention it would be a nightmare of he-said-she-said. -
A completely unknown person can't be given access to suspend an account that a user has potentially spent hundreds or thousands of dollars on.i propose how you can do it.

That right has to be reserved for people who work in the office. -

Saidin is mistaken. His mistake excusable, because he underestimates the scale of the disaster. CF is a rather popular game and we must fight hard with hackers. Without mercy. I suggested the use of such an effect only with obvious hackers. For example, a person kills opponents through the walls. This is an obvious hacker. Make a savegame file and ban him for 60 days. IMHO, if my system be work at least 4 month, the CF will be more clean.
In addition, we need to consider a system of deterrence to new moderators who must haven't the opportunity to abuse their position. -

ok, i'm ready to get your opinion on this issue
you must understand, what we have only one real action - block hackers accounts. Permanently? Temporary? But, other actions have shown that they can't reduce the number of hackers in the CF. And don't forget about fair players, who spend real money in the game and becomes a victim of hackers. -

As it was discussed in another thread a few hours ago everyones account still belongs to Z8, we can just use it. Thus banning the accounts behooves to the staff and noone else but them. That right has to be reserved for people who work in the office. -
[GM]Saidin wrote: »Quick clarification on this. If you volunteer willingly then you can get around that.
While chosen specifically by us, Moderating is strictly a volunteer position.
Also to clarify, it is slightly confusing there are two GM acronyms. One is a Game Master and one is a Game Manager. It really doesn't matter though since the goal of our team is to improve all of Cross Fire from all points, no emphasis is put on titles.
Since this seems to be a relatively hot topic I'll add this. We are in no means ready to open up this kind of thing. One of the large issues, which touches on legalities previously discussed is the fact that someone who does not work for G4Box or Z8Games or Cross Fire ultimately ends up deciding the fate of an account. A moderator for example will never be able to close/delete/ban an account from the actual game. Permanently at least, because there are a lot of "rights" and agreement issues that aren't currently documented in any of the Terms or Policies we have.
Not to mention it would be a nightmare of he-said-she-said.
What we are exploring is the possibility of someone who isn't necessarily a forumer, or a regular on these forums or who doesn't have the time to moderate forums but who plays the game on a regular basis who might be able to help us with the hack reporting process.
Ultimately decisions on who gets banned has to come from an official source, being us, and not from any other user. Despite how obvious a hacker may be. It just can't work any other way.
The problem with this process is we do not need ANOTHER list of hackers. We already have a list of hackers that comes in on a daily basis through our report system. And we have a list of hackers that gets banned on a daily basis through us and our detection methods.
Additionally, redundancy is an issue we deal with all the time. An incredibly high % of the hackers that get reported are in some way dealt with by the auto ban system. Even if it's their first offense. To do the work to find out the user is already handled is a problem of time management that makes further discussion of yet another list of hackers that may or may not have already been handled incredibly inefficient.
So as you can see there is a lot more going on here than just saying "Oh we, like this guy he reports hackers lets ban the next 100 people he says are hacking".
Hi, Saidin:
1. Would it be useful add a respawn confirmation button. I believe it would protect the legit players and stop the killing of hackers, they will find it is not interesting any more if there is no one respawn. And the players in the hackers' team would have enough time to think about why the game cannot go on.
2. If possible, would z8 start a campaign to report hackers. Just add a ribbon, and lots of players would do it. That is much better interactive between z8 and community.
When the number of hackers increases exponentially, it indicates that there need some adjustment. -

bad proposal. Z8Games will drown in reports and Saidin will fired

Then just add to this 3.
Also, in the SND it can also use the same logic. If all players choose not ready, the game pause
I can see a lot of trolling going on if that occured. Basically little sit-down strikes to prevent people from playing games

if 80% of people are ready or the difference between two team is not over 50%, then start a game.
Player still have choice to kick the inactive ones.
Most players would not consider to sitback if the game is fair enough.
And current situation is there are too many hackers, and vote kick is limited. There is nothing to protect legit player in game. -
i have a new add-on to my idea.
1. Add a special new channel (or reserve 1 channel in all servers) and name it as "Jail".
2. group of in-game moderators ("CF police") can join to any public room. Kick from that room any players, who probably can use hacks. And make a report to Z8 in game.
3. That players, who get that kick from in-game moderators can play only in "Jail" channels for a 60 days. That players can do a daily mission, spend money in BM and Mall and etc.
3. Z8Games must investigate every report of in-game moderators in 60 day term. If hack detect, Z8Games must permanent block account. If hack not detect, or 60 day left and Z8Games do nothing - player can join to any channel without any permissions.
