What is this thing?!

Xtrap is an anti cheating tool a VERY sensitive anti cheating tool it scans and attempts to detect the following:

1. The user has modified game files
2. The user is running a 3rd party program that is not allowed
3. The user is modifying the program dynamically

Somethings that can interupt this program are:

1. Anti-virus programs that use SONAR or active background scanning
2. Internet security packages
3. Software for keyboards and mice LOGITECH im sorry guys but your G15s and macro keyboards will cause you PAIN
4. Multimedia software Itunes, WMP, Xfire, Steam overlay, Podcast, fraps
5. Torrent programs Utorrent bittorrent. etc.

How it interferes i personaly have no idea but i guess because antivirus programs treat xtrap like a trojan and trojans monitor your actions and active programs but unlike a trojan it doesnt modify your PC in anyway it will scan the active file for anything that conflicts with the game/xtrap in anyway (scanning/modifying)

i have done alot of searching and found some sources and spoke to my guildmates as well about how to deal with some issues you are having.

Alot of you will get Xtrap errors some of these errors will be caused by viruses and spyware (Derp derp but i dont have viruses in my computer derp derp) shut up and do it a check anyway as i said earlier Xtrap is sensitive software IF it finds ANYTHING wrong with the game/your computer it will refuse to play ball

Download these others in the comunity may recommend BETTER personaly a paid fo internet security package works just as nice but here try these below:

SuperAntiSpyware

Here is a free anti-virus program that you can run:

ASK your guild mates see what they are using they might recommend better choices

One last thing is if you're getting disconnected every so often and it's due to X-Trap, you may have malicious software installed. i would highly recommend using the latest Anti-Virus/Anti-Adware/Anti-Spyware software and doing frequent scans.

CODE FIELD [16-0400-00000000-202]
The game cannot run properly
You are running another program that conflics with Xtrap xfire/podcast/fraps/torrents/itunes/WMP, etc.
CODE FIELD [02-0300-00000000-031]
Game must be run under the System Admin Account
Derp Derp kind of explains it all dont it? also you cant play the game with guest or limited accounts
CODE FIELD [30-0400-00000000-207]
The Game execute file is not normal or an abnormal memory access has been detected.
This error normally occurs with spyware/anti virus software that read memory
CODE FIELD [16-0400-00000000-202]
The game client/launcher is running at compatible mode. Please, unselect the compatible mode.
if you get this try another operating system after XP SP2 if you have no other options available to you u must remove the compatability
CODE FIELD [02-0300-00000002-021]
Some functions provided by the operating system are not working properly by the external program. Please close the program that prevents normal game play.
This normally means a program is running that is clashing with xTrap, however it can also be a service issue.
CODE FIELD [01-0300-00000000-031]
operating system is not supported
No ideas on how to resolve this check your service pack and ensure your OS is upto date (Win xp, vista, 7), But Update your S.O in WINDOWS UPDATE and try run game in compability XP.

Disable these security programs

Some functions of the operating system are not working properly due to external program. Please, close any program which is affecting game client.
Turn off windows firewall and make sure you are logged in as an administrator. Don't Use hack , it also gives this error.
Close your background programs, some are read as malicious for the game.
Code Field [02-0300-00000000-211]
Device database of the operating system is not normal or the device name does not exist. Please restart the system
Detection of virtual drives on your system

Some functions of the operating system are not working properly due to external program. please close any program which is affecting game client

Please close any program (auto, cheat, crack, debug program) and restart the system.

The access to x-trap patch server is unstable or X-trap update wasnt able to run properly. Please, restart the games affecting the game client and restart the system
Set your firewall and your antivirus program to allow the X-Trap program.

- Delete files of folder %temp% , press windows + r, write %temp%, delete all files.

Non-Operating System Specific Solutions:
1. Make sure that Cross Fire and X-Trap are not being blocked by any and all anti-virus programs and firewalls that you have running, and if they are, add them to the exception list for each anti-virus program and/or firewall that you have. Searching Google with the name of your anti-virus/firewall software and exception list should come up with how to achieve this if you are unsure.

As a last resort, disable your anti-virus/firewall programs temporarily and then let X-Trap attempt to update itself again. If it updates and you can connect to Cross Fire successfully, then you know the cause of the error is your anti-virus/firewall programs. You can narrow the problem down even further by disabling just one of those programs if you have both or multiple anti-virus or firewall programs to see which one specifically is conflicting with X-Trap and Cross Fire.

Windows XP:
1. Run Cross Fire from an XP user that has administrative access. If you are on an XP user that does not have administrative access(such as a guest account), make sure that Cross Fire and/or X-Trap have full administrative control for the XP user that you are using. This must be set by an XP user with administrative access.
Windows Vista:
1. Run Cross Fire as Administrator. Cross Fire and X-Trap cannot update themselves properly without administrative privileges.
Windows 7:
1. Run Cross Fire as Administrator. Cross Fire and X-Trap cannot update themselves properly without administrative privileges.

Amove your xtrap folder to your desktop

run the game client again so xtrap and redownload

If the game runs delete the xtrap folder you moved onto your desktop

(other way is to uninstall, reinstall, restart and then patch)
