Have you ever suffered "KICK MINI PING"?

I've been kicked so many times because of my low ping (lower than 100) in S&D mode in Delta Server. Last night I tried more than 10 rounds and I got kicked EVERY TIME. Someone cried "KICK MINI PING" before every time I got kicked. It made me very confused and angry.

What's wrong with a low ping? As far as I know a high ping (usually higher than 200) causes lagging and delaying response. In a serious match a high ping player might be kicked. But why IN FACT my low ping got kicked so many times? Have you ever suffered "KICK MINI PING" too?

  • Seriously nothing new, many people before you have complained about it.

And really, the only answers you're gonna get here is "play with your friends" or "do forumer rooms".

Why would you play in Delta?

Nothing is wrong with low ping besides the fact that you might get kicked because of it.

And yes, I've been kicked because of my "mini ping". You can't always avoid getting kicked because of a low ping, but you can play with trusted friends, clanmates, or just acquaintances to avoid being kicked.
  • wait a minute. Have you ever suffered "KICK MINI PING"?

I have to play in Delta because there are fewer hackers. I suffered too many hackers in any other server. Besides players in Delta are more like to start an anti-hack kick and vote F11. Anyway, thank you for your suggestion.

That's not something you hear everyday.
  • welcome to the club!

i have over 500 screenshots from my lifetime of playing CF of me getting kicked for either low ping (20-25) OR JUST OWNING too much...
  • yes, a lot of times......

ESPECIALLY WHEN ONE IS A CANADIAN WITH 15 ping = =......

we definitely gotta find a way to fight back

    ''kika brasilero ping'' perhaps?
  • I resemble the remark mini ping , I play u.s.south servers and get kicked all the time

Delta eliminates hackers staff sgt. and below , Higher Ranked servers are needed
  • Yeah I think everyone experience that before in SND. When you ping is under 100 they seem to kick you.
  • I think that this prevention of allowing a player continuous access to a room on a particular server, due to the ping he/she has, seems like an interesting to discuss.

This logic is applied in both sides of the issue, low pingers (less than 100) and high pingers (more than 100).

I chose 100 as the average, but I do not know which is the average ping in all of CF.

Now then onto my question at hand:
Do you believe that to kick someone solely based on latency value, without regards to any detrimental game experience, is fair?
Remember, you may have kicked someone with high ping in the past. Or low ping.

And if the answer is "not fair", then what can YOU do about it to ensure fairness?
  • Sorry for the double post.

To answer the OP: I've been kicked for this mini ping at 60 or so, and as well for high ping, about 100 in bravo specifically.

In regards to my previous post, I'll share my answer once I've heard from others; if they chose so to share.
  • Thats why it's better in UK4, Everyone < 100 ping.

Sucks for you rest of worlders

Shîtty players if you ask you
  • I get kicked for this quite often. I have 15-20 ping in alpha through echo servers. But mostly I get kicked for getting 10-20 kill streaks in a TD without dying and every idiot assumes I must hack cuz they've never pulled that off before. Even though I'm not shooting people through walls or doing anything suspicious like busting headshots WAY too fast or anything. They're just jelly they have 250 ping and you don't.

What I don't get is why you would even bother playing with over 150 ping at all. I get about 120-150 ping in the UK servers and that's not even that bad. But I don't want to play with ping like that even. How is it fun to play an FPS when you warp all over the maps and none of your bullets reg? Go play CF:BR. Abandon your CF:NA accounts and go play where your bullets actually hit the target.

That or come get shot over and over and over and over again by people with 15 ping.

    and cry.

    all night.

    forever.
  • yes, i have been kicked for almost everything

^^ there i got kicked for pinpointing with a desert eagle. Like how i used MSZMod to change the message xD
  • People are just jealous cause there ping sucks. They say its not fair, but blame your internet provider (modem etc.). And people who cant accept the fact they died are just plain losers. And how many times i say : ITS JUST A GAME!!!
  • This problem only exists on the US servers cause in Uk the average ping is extremely low. Based on my last games it is ~70ms.

    @one_9
I don't think that kicking low or high pingers is the same. When you play with a high ping against another high pinger then you will experience lag. It does not lag as hard as against low pingers but the lag exists and is easy to notice.

When there is someone with a low ping playing against another low pinger then there is almost no lag (excluding the lags caused by the engine).

Keeping that in mind decreasing the average ping is going to create a better game experience. Doing the opposite obviously causes the opposite effect.

So kicking high pingers and forcing other players to invest some money for a better connection seems legit to me. The players who still lag although they got a good connection obviously play on the wrong servers or the wrong version. If they mind being kicked they are still able to choose another version. Low pingers normally don't have this choice at all.
  • well lets say like this
1ping+250 fps (better reg on cf,loading faster then everyone,it looks like you run faster then us(but its not true)
I have also problems with lower pingers sometimes(they act like kids saying haha i live near the server i m beast(mostly showoffs)i think thats is all)

i dont really hate low pingers but there are few who acts like that but i just dont stand it kids just like them -.-
  • This happens to me like everyday. I got 15 ping in Alpha and Brovo servers and all i see is. Kick Mini Ping and a few seconds later. Kicked!!!!

welcome to my Game i ping 11
  • Nope, cos i play in the UK servers :D

have been kicked for bunnyhoping before though,

"KICK mastermann1, hes doing that invisi jump glitch!"

also it sucks when you have 20 FPS and 20 ping, your hitboxes dont lagg but you can hardly hit anything cos of FPS issues....
  • They don't always kick you just because you have a "mini ping."

Sometimes, they just identify you as "mini ping", just like how someone would say "kick ace". It's just a way to denote to the other team who they want kicked.

Then again, you might've been kicked for having a low ping. Ignore the haters. They just be jelly of you.
  • Usually mini pings get kicked because they are either Ace or just completely owning the nubs/Br's during the match. I got kicked for a mini-ping (86) while they other team had a player with a ping of 20 =.=
  • I truly don't know about the American/Canadian servers but on the uk servers, high pingers get kicked...

I have 109 ping, I don't get kicked for my ping, but I've never seen someone cry kick mini ping..

    I guess only br's do that :D

Thanks for the response. Yes it is a issue of lag and hence low pingers would kick high pingers. But what about when it's the other way around? Higher pingers kicking low pingers? On an overall look at the kick, it is really coming down to a ping stance, is it not?

Why would high pingers, unable to play "normal" games due to being kicked out of many, if not every room they come by just by their horrid ping; then be looked down upon for finding a community of players with similar ping, and just kick any that would have either higher or lower ping than them?
^meaning, why would higher pingers then be looked down upon for kicking any that would have either higher or lower ping than them?
  • I'm not a raciest but it seems most of high ping players in the US and Canada server come from South America. In a S&D room in the Delta Server especially at night time almost all players except me have a high ping, and all of them speak some other language (Spanish, or Portuguese). I don't understand why the US and Canada server is full of South American players, and we North American players get kicked because of our lower ping.

Can't the z8games do something about this?
