What are the differences between the different download modes?

Im pretty sure Mirror 4 is more updated cuz i had to reinstall cf cuz of some patch and i dl mirror 1 and it said i didnt have all the right files and crap like that so i had to use mirror 4

West Coast / East Coast mirrors are depending on which part of the United States you are from. East coast being a state like New York, as opposed to the West States being something like Washington.

you went to the trouble of typing out all that text but you didn't even realize that all the "west coast" and "east coast" mirror links all point to the exact same file on the exact same server

and at least two or three of the "alternative downloads" point to outdated versions of the game that are too old to patch to the newest version

The part with the torrents is pretty important. Torrent means that a peer to peer network is used in order to spread th files. So you upload while you download and this reduces the download speed on your end.
