Compact Digital Camera Dilema....
Alright , so .
I have Olympus T-10 , it sucks , all the pics get blurry , no matter what settings I have , but then again ,maybe I'm doing something wrong....?
I've read like 19273491273418234081 reviews, all of them say you get great pictures with this camera , but like...I get one picture right out of 10...I know its price is really low and maybe my expectations are a bit too high for this camera , but the blur , is just not supposed to be this way.
I want to get myself Nikon Coolpix S6150 , its not a DSLR (what I need) but ....I hope its way better than Olympus (less blurry) ...anyone knows anything about these two cameras , please give me some ideas , opinions etc etc?
Also I need someone that is a good Photographer , I need some tips n stuff...
Help please

is it just on the camera screen its blurry?
Or also when you put on ur comp?
My phone takes better pics than our digital camera. My phone pics are crystal clear.
On computer....not only on the camera screen.
Its awful when you need to take pics in quite a hurry , like when you're somewhere out and you wanna take a pic of you and some artist but other 12907831902312901292290 people are waiting for it , you can't really say .... Yo people calm down , the pic didn't go out clear. -

well if you just want a quick snap shot you should keep the flash on. i have a dslr and i met someone famous at a restaurant, took 1 with a point and shoot and one with my dslr. of course my dslr came out blurry because it was low light, and no flash. my brother didn't know how to use the dslr either. the point and shoot came out great since it was on auto and had flash on.
you always have to check the speed the camera is going to shoot at. i think anything 1/50 or 1/100 is okay handheld. but anything underneath is pretty hard and i would suggest you use flash if you only have 1 chance. -

Flash or not , sometimes it still gets blurry.
Olympus T-10 does not have rechargeable batteries so anyway you want to move fast even if you have 8712891298371 days at your will to take one picture ,beside it gets so annoying!
And even if the pic goes well , its still one spot in the picture that is crystal clear and the rest is kinda blurry.I want the whole picture to be crystal clear .
I turned off auto-focus even , still the same ****. -
i have been through this situation, i got a bunch of small cameras that take sh1tty pictures, but photography is one of my fave hobbies, so eventually i saved up around 600 dollars and bought a nice dslr camera 50% off. My advice is just to save up for something you really want, i don't regret it one bit, it was hard to do but the pictures i can take with this camera are amazing. never settle for less.

Yeah , I don't know if I can save up that much in a 'short' time...things r difficult and bla bla ... -
www.dpreview.com is good for checking out cameras, sampleshots etc
like fallout said, if you are going to take alot of pictures and really spend time doing so, save up for a dslr. the problem with digital cameras is, that they have small lenses, meaning less light can go through it which will reduce imagequality and cause blurring. also the sensors of most digital cameras are too small, while each year more and more megapixel are offered.

Im not a big fan of nikon, however i have to say that from my experience and thoughts, nikon would be 2nd on my list of dslr cameras and olympus would be downnnnnnnnnnnn the list.
Everyone has there own taste in which one they prefer, however my pick would be cannon. if you are looking for good quality camera, i would recommend a DSLR as the compact cameras do not have the ability to take great shots such as the DSLR. you can also get great compact cameras, but at the end of the day, the top end compact cameras would be close to the same price as a decent DSLR.
My recommendation would be the Canon 550D or the Canon 60D. The 550D is a great DSLR starter camera and also has loads of great features to play around and take amazing photography shots. The 60D on the other hand is very similar to the 550D. The major difference would be the new movable LCD screen. The new screen could be put to great use when taking shots from different angles.
If you still love nikon, i would recommend D3100.
at the end of the day, personally i would get a DSLR instead of a compact camera. My pick would be the 550D. It is very affordable and is a greattttt starter camera. as the 60D you are only paying moree for the new LCD screen. -

well, the 60D makes use of a faster chip. you can make 5,3 shots per second while the 550 gives you 3,7. so for wildlife photography the 60D will be the better choice.
anyways i don´t know what her budget is. usually i always say that a good photographer will make good photos, no matter what hardware but with the olympus t-10 its really some task! 10 Megapixels (too much) combined with a very small sensor and even smaller lense... -

Well , tbh , I can't really 'save up' since I don't have a job and money for school r not that many , I have to pay monthly even for the Nikon , I'd really buy a dslr but 1k euro ... is something I can't get. -

hm ok. it is pretty hard to find something in the dslr section below 600Eur.
check out the Canon EOS 1100D. it`s really a solid camera in that price range.
review. http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/canoneos1100D
it`s around 400 euro at the moment.
also if you decide to get a digitalcamera, make sure the lense is not too small and it`s not over 10Megapixels. -

why not over 10?o.o -

It's 12MP. However megapixels are not the only thing you're suppose to look at as it rarely indicates how 'good' of a picture it takes. You need to look at things like the sensor, and dynamic range.
If you're cash strapped you can pick up last years model (canon s95) or the newer model (canon s100). Although the S100 has quite a few edges on the previous model one being noise control. They're point and shoots with shallow depth and provide really good low light performance.
There is also a slightly larger brother with more zoom, also more expensive though (canon G12).
As an avid photographer/videographer, I'd say this is the best choice and the closest you will get to DSLR quality without DSLR size and price.
The 1100D / T3 is an okay investment, however much of the quality of an SLR system comes from the glass you put in front, the stock lens is good but not great. In the long run buying glass to put in front of your camera is a better investment than the body since they are replaced every few years but glass is not.
Also, as a tip lenses even on digital cameras will state how much light they can let in. See below:
The 2.0-5.9 refers to how much light can enter the camera / how large the iris can be open, the numbers before it refer to focal length. The lower the first number, the more light will come in = the less shaky your photos will be. The less light the comes in, the longer the iris needs to stay open for = blurry pics.
