Slashing is considered 'newby' because all people have to do is hold down the left-click button of their mouse, rather than having to re-click their right mouse button if they miss.
I just found that out recently and I have been playing since 09
I don't think it should be newby tho -
ppl just say that b/c it gives them their comfort/justification...which is dumb...but its w/e
i'll be the first to say all i do is left click all day and i tend to get more hs than wasting time hitting them twice lol...plus left clicking is faster i believe
if they call you a noob slasher...just type...if im noob and killed you, what does that make you? -

z8 create left click slash to be used..slashing are useless without aiming and timing and also skill.I'm not a newbie but I'm better in slashing..(noobs are those slashing through the air even though the enemies are 1 kilometer in distance) -

Slash is 2 hit kill to body, while right click is 1 hit kill. If anything that's noob.
its not the people who complain about it is... they just suck and cant avoid ur slashes ... so slash away n ignore th baddies who say ur a newb for doing it... most of the people dont even know what noob means..

Actually Newb meant new player.
Noob original meaning was, a player that annoys others and refuses to make any effort to learn. It just got so overused by people that don't know the meaning that it became a general insult.
A Newb is a player that just started and doesn't know anything, but is willing to learn and try.
A Noob is a player that expects everything to be handed to them and will make no effort to learning how to play. (If they are complaining about how you play, they are noob). -

Most find the slashing to be of little skill involved due to its easy of use and repetitive nature without needing to really time attacks.
As for the Kris, its actually a hybrid melee weapon like the Kukri.
Able to kill with a headshot with a slash just like the axe, and 1 hit kill with the stab like the shovel. Which generally leads to its noobiness for most. -
slashing too often is considered ''spamming'', which is skilless because all one does hold down left click and the chances of missing is very low.
especially with a kris; a two shot kill with a spammer is more nooby than someone that only uses the right click -

The original meaning of Noob came way back from Ultima Online, the first popular MMO ever.
It spread to other MMOs over time. Eventually Runescape appeared and that is where it started to get distorted from is original meaning.
Lots of players in RS were called Noob do to the amount of whining and begging for stuff they did. They showed no interest in making the effort to get the stuff they wanted and annoyed other players, the definition of Noob at the time. Eventually the Noobs started calling people Noobs because they get called it all the time, believing it to be a general insult.
The Noobs never bothered to learn what Noob meant, but instead just chose the lazy option of assuming. Eventually everyone in the game was using it as a general insult and spread it it other MMOs as one. It lost its meaning and has had no defined meaning since. -
