I don't really see a reason for them being different. And there are enough ribbons to get 30 if you havent missed the 1 chance to get some of them like the hero mode or the pistol week. And still even if you missed them you still get 31 (+/- 1 or 2) ribbons

Not everything has to be tailored to you, if you haven't noticed yet. It was not endorsed as a "new" ribbon, and was never even meant to be "new". It was a chance for others to get another chance at a ribbon. -

Well if they didnt get it then that is their own fault. And it would only be once a year. That is kinda hard dont ya think? not easy getting a ribbon that only comes out once a year. you would have to wait a whole year to get another 1. common sense. A ribbon is not the measure of how an account went far for the particular ribbon reward, rather it is a series of trophies to demonstrate the account's age and activity ingame and out.
When people can realize that ribbons are for the long haul and not some quick 2 game affair, there will be less threads created on the subject, general less QQing on the matter, and hopefully an increase of positivism within the community, both ingame and on the forum.
Maybe it's our jobs, as veterans, to teach the newer players, especially on the forums, how things work around here. For too long I've seen thread after thread with an OP's post count less than 10, then accuse us of trolling after we post maybe something they don't want to hear, but it was the honest truth. -

People assume that I'm some fairly experienced lieutenant player; truth is, I have a KDR ratio below 1 with a laughable rank. -
Hi, it was endorsed as a new ribbon in the patch notes when u start up CF (3 New Ribbons)I wonder if you already have the ribbon, and you logged in the 25th, you will or will not receive the M4 Xmas one more time...
