Get the LOTR trilogy extended on bluray. Absolute reference quality soundtrack which rocks my 12" sub and 7.1 system. The picture quality is amazing too with no visible compression artifacts. But there's this weird green tint though throughout the movies which wasn't present in the theatrical version. But I would say the extra two hours in these three movies makes up for that.
