A glitch so prevelant it's being ignored!!!
I need to start this by defining glitching. A glitch is an exploit in the game that was not intended by the developers. Now here's the problem, SND games were designed so that if you enter the game late, up until the 2 minute mark you can still play, players have been exploiting this to get two lives in one round. So instead of an 8v8 it could quite easily become an 8v10, that is an affront to the spirit of the game.
Don't worry I also have a solution that is simple and effective and still allows the 30 second mercy. When a player leaves a room, they should be prevented from rejoining the room for 15 seconds. It is a simple fix for the dev's, and it would make the game more fair.
Please comment with your opinions and help to eliminate this glitch

Your right it was put in on purpose, but not so players could get two lives in one round just because they weren't good enough, which is an exploit. -
In my opinion, it would be better and easier to make it so you can't join in the middle of a round.
This eliminates the problem you addressed of nerds quitting and rejoining. It also eliminates the problem of being killed before you have a chance to move, OR being able to kill people near or in the spawn.
For the first match I join, my computer lags like crazy. It typically throws me in about 20 seconds into a round. By this point, there is often a player from the other team passing through our spawn, and depending on the timing, one of us is going to die. If I appear as soon as he enters, I die without having a chance to defend myself. If he walks by the second before I spawn, he gets shot in the back even though he had no reason to worry about such a thing happening. It starts to feel like spawn kills in FFA.
It balances out, sure, but it still sucks. -

Official definition
"In video games, a glitch is a programming error which results in behavior not intended by the programmers. Glitches may include incorrectly displayed graphics, collision detection errors, game freezes/crashes, sound issues, and others."
Its not a programming error. It was intended to allow people to join before it hits 2 minutes remaining.
Its an exploit.. like you said. It was intentional but is being abused.cannonfadder wrote: »So according to you, when the developers put that in they intended to allow people to have two lives in one round?
No.. by definition thats an exploitation of the current system. -
cannonfadder wrote: »So according to you, when the developers put that in they intended to allow people to have two lives in one round?
They intended to allow people to join up until the 2:00 mark. People exploiting that is not the same as the system glitching. -

Lol ok fine, if you really want to make that argument you can, the question that remains is why your arguing semantics...my point stands regardless of if you want to call it a glitch or exploit, although calling it an exploit wouldn't have got any attention. -

Why not? An exploit is as bad as a glitch.
It has been looked into either way. -

So we should call something a term that is blatantly false but attention grabbing in order to get people to look at it?
CANNONFADDER IS A NEONAZI WHO WANTS TO SHOW YOU HIS MONKEY would be a better title. -

That wouldn't be nice... and I think I saw something here about that...
And it's understandable you would get exploit and glitching mixed up... I used to get chamming and walling mixed up too

imagine this situation , ur playing a 5v5 scrim and you disconect for some reason when you start , you rejoin so you can play but according to you if we disable that , it coems down to a 4v5 situation WICH can cost you the round , and in some cases the game -

lol, not blatantly false, if I were to title this "dancing bear destroys the world" that would be blatantly false. My title is more of a stretch, and getting people to look at it is important, at least to me, because it's an issue that needs to be addressed.
Now I'm not sure how on Earth you title would be more appropriate, I think your probably someone who uses the exploit yourself and doesn't want to see the problem patched -

1. I never said it would be more appropriate, just more effective. Just because you turned "better" into an invalid word doesn't mean it was intended to be as such.
2. I scrim CF. -

True, but the one situation where it would be useful can't justify ignoring the problem. Imagine this counter situation, your playing a 5v5 scrim and you kill someone, they RR and that person clutches the round, then its a 5v6 situation which can cost you the round, and in some cases the game. See what I'm saying? -

Except that if you do that in scrims, people stop scrimming you. -
Whould you guys stop spamming? We are here to talk about the rejoin problem, not what a glitch is or not. Who cares about what it is called, we all know what he means.
And where are all the moderators? Everytime I say that this forum is filled up with crap and the moderators don't do a thing they say they do but we don't see it. Now proof that you really do a thing and stop this bullsht.
I think he made a good point, some people play a round 2 times, we need to fix it. -
cannonfadder wrote: »And that makes my counter example invalid how? It still happened, you still lost, regardless if people stop scrimming you in the future.
Are you one of those idiots that think games on the Clan Servers are scrims? Because they aren't.
Are you one of those idiots that thinks that the results of actual scrims meas anything at all? Because they don't. -

.....seriously right now? Let me ask you a question, because I'm an idiot and don't know better, can you leave and come back in a scrim on the clan server? And furthermore scrimming really is irrelevant to the problem, stop trying to troll and lets stay focused on the topic at hand. -

Except it isn't irrelevant. Rejoining due to a d/c has happened more than once to me within the last 7 days. That's a round of play wasted with your suggestion.
In a pub all rejoining means is more exp for the other team. -

Well sir I guess you have a extraordinary computer, because I don't know anyone who has a computer that can get dc'd and log back into cf, all within a 30 second span, that's of course operating under the assumption you dc'd right at the start.
As far as a pub goes, it could mean more xp, unless of course that causes the other team to lose, in which case it's not more xp. And judging by your language and lack of response to my question, you do RR. -

It can still be done quickly.. get DC message.. alt tab, close program ope it up again.
