It's been a looooong time...
I started playing CF back in closed beta and stayed until around November '09. After that I put the game down and it got pushed to the back of my mind. Today I decided I'd check it out again and see what's up. So, what's up?
It looks like a hell of a lot has changed and if someone could fill me in on what's changed with the game or anything else I'd need to know, I'd be very happy.
tl;dr:
I'm old. Teach me the game, again.
Also, is there anyone left from CB? Looking around, there doesn't seem to any of the old guard left.

I'm from the CB but I'm on my new account now, so I guess I shall fill you in.
Plenty of new guns, M14EBR, Deagle Scope, FR-F2, M60 ADV, Gattling Gun, and lots more and some more in the Item shop as well. Also new characters such as, Navy Seals, SPOP, Ophelia, Ghost costume, GSG9, and another but I forgot its name. Also 2 new modes, Zombie mode and Escape. Zombie mode is about survival and you have to basically get to the boss level and kill the boss to win the match. In Escape you start at either BL or GR and BL runs to a portal and get inside of it 10 times to win, also there is doors you have to break down. GR you have to defend the doors and make sure none of the BL get in basically. As for graphics we have new graphics. Also there is about 14 new maps. -

I remember zombie, but there wasn't any boss boss mode then. And of all those guns, which one is the OP-Cruise-Control-Death-Machine of today? Any of those decent non-zp guns? -

Yeah, you can't beat the good ol' days. All these guns confuse the hell out of me. Back in CB all you could get was an M4, AK, or AUG if you were "special".UnrealTalent wrote: »i wish you could too, preferably to 1850.

Welcome Back
To be thorough, we have a ton of new maps with cool designs.
The one I'd like to mention is Orbital Station which uses low-gravity jumps. It's a very big map in which you can jump very very high and it's really fun.
GM has some new maps, but you know what they are all about. =p
Escape Mode like the other player mentioned which is really fun because it involves some actual teamwork if the players speak the same language and they are about playing and not farming.
ZM is a fun survival-ish game, but IMO without a hacker in your team, you might as well buy a lot of ZPs to buy Revival Tokens(You use them to revive other teammates).
We got HM which is MM 2.5 with a couple twists, but.. I'll let you figure that out. =p
On the technical department and this is only from a couple months, the ga e has suffered a couple drawbacks from some bad patches, which made game crash or generated Ip restriction for a lot of people.
Also we have more hack problems than before, but honestly it's nothing big. I think they have fixed all of the major glitches in most of the maps which is a major plus.
Also the Clan Page is under Trojan attack. =p
And the December patch is giving everyone Loading screen errors.
Basically you go onto a game and the screen only loads to a 98 and freezes.
I hope this helps you get back in the game.
Despite what you may read or hear in the forums, Crossfire is STILL the best MMOFPS out there. Graphcis and Gameplay. -

So, has the general community improved at all? One of the reasons I left is because everyone was either trying to lone-wolf it and spaz out with bullets, or was six years old and trying to cuss you out. Also, is the game still very Pay2win or what? -

Oh, and to answer your question, I started 3 months after crossfire came out. However this account was created 4 months after, other 5 were used to test and buy guns. -
