I went there without knowing then i Downloaded Adblocker Plus Firefox but I did a full scan with Windows Defender

Those are other viruses - that's not the same as on the clanpage.

I cannot understand why the clanpage is still up. Explain me, why the heck do you spread viruses? I even got it although I use adblock. PLEASE, I just want to see a little professionalism.

The Z8 site is the main issue,

Someone has obviously found a vulnerability in the site security and inserted the iframe linking to an external URL that does a drive-by instillation of the said virus(es), not unless it is an employee of Z8/G4 box.

Removing the code would help but in the long run the site needs to be secure otherwise they'll just reinsert it or indeed anyone else could and it could be something a lot worse.

weird

well ok. cause when i went to clan page it said something about a virus and just pressed "go back". I got norton so i am always safe xD

The problem seems to be the javascript files in the clan.z8games.com/script/ folder.
The last line causing the issue in the menu.js is also in js_match_new.js.

The menu.js for the homepage z8game.com/script/menu.js does not contain that last line and so does not bring up the virus alert.

I think it is more likely that a player hacks the website (again) and removes the line than Z8games doing their job.

Same thing happened to me and I'm am using Microsoft Security Essentials.

When I go to the clan page, my anti-virus system pops-up saying it picked up a virus.

I removed it right away.

Anyway, why can't you just block the ad? If it is causing a virus...

THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE ADS, despite what mods are claiming. There is malicious JS inserted into one or more files on Z8's webserver. The code essentially redirects to a site that's trying to sell fake Viagra, and maybe serve up some other exploits, who knows

Are your server admins asleep or something? This thread was made nearly a whole day ago and the code is STILL there. Disgusting. Really high level of incompetence here. Got a site accessed by thousands upon thousands of players and it gets owned with one of the most basic exploits in the book

At this point if you're using a browser with questionable security you should absolutely avoid the clan page altogether as the original post states

I think this is very likely the problem. The malicious script is in several javascript files. A normal advert would not need to be in all these files and the line has been inserted after a large gap after the main script in a rather pathetic attempt to hide it.

I have found it in these files so far:
jquery.tmpl.js
jquery.cookie.js

As I type this, it looks like something is being done as the following two files which also contained the script have been removed.
menu.js
js_match_new.js

I just went there again and all I get is a Javascript popup trying to run on the page. Also my Microsoft Security Essentials didn't pick up any thread.

When I click Edit, and add/change anything in the post, I click Save and absolutely nothing happens. Hmm, this only seems to be with Firefox, works fine in IE.

menu.js looks clean to me, and the file obviously shouldn't differ at all unless theres something else in play.
