Hacker Security

I'm wondering? When will "Crossfire implement a Security Monitor," so that 'All' the "Players" that are 'using "Hacking (Tools) Software" will be 'identified', and !Hopefully "Banned" from playing in "Crossfire."
I believe "these individuals are not 'only' interrupting, game play; but are causing the game to "react unreponsively, and creating 'errors!"
The "programming of the game is very erratic; causing stalls and "FPS' to become unstable!
I use to enjoy the "Game" very much; but now these individuals are creating a very "Bad Atmosphere." I hope that this "Thread isn't taken lightly, its getting out of control with the Hacking!
There are other "Online 'Games' that enforce strong "Security and Rules" against this type of behavior.
It is not tollerated, and "Persons conducting, and resorting to "Cheating by using Hacking Tools are BANNED!"

  • You use WAY too many apostrophes and quotation marks....

    ......

the games FPS and glitches and bugs aren't the result of cheaters but more the result of bad programming and a faulty set of mechanics in the game implemented by the developers.

as a result, such a system wouldn't change the nature of the game as this is a FREE to play game its not something like battlefield.

as for hacking policies and other such things its the not the policies or the measures that are at fault they are correct, its the type of measures which are this games downfall but i don't think like can openly identify people any more i believe it will break they're own rules ... i cant remember which section of the TOA it is but look it up.

    Thanks xeNIxKing for you 'reply!

    no problem,

just to let you know they did have a ban list at one point back in the old days of this game but they removed it because it annoyed or upset potential customers.

even if you cheat once your not banned completely from this game you will be allowed back on if you commit so many offences, but if you commit more than 3 (i think its more than 3) then you get IP banned in the other words a hacker is still a potential customer.
  • Did You Use A Translator?
Errors Are Caused By Bad Coding Or Faulty Programming , Anyone Can Have Errors
  • Can someone please translate that into english? I didn't want to read that wall of text.
  • 3 reasons why the hacking is so bad.

1: Majority of the players refuse to kick a hacker that has more then 120 ping.
2: Dozens of people trying to make hacks that bypass X-trap. X-trap can't keep up.
3: Support is bogged down with far more hack reports then they can ever manage. 10-20 people dealing with 30,000-100,000 new reports a day.

All these problems have their roots at the same source. Far to many people want to hack, and many don't care if they do.

As long as the majority of players don't care about hackers, the Hack makers have enough clients to keep making hacks, and large amount of people want to hack... Hacking will remain.

Only way to fix it at this point would be to remove the player base that supports it.
Majority of hackers have 150+ ping, Majority of kick abusers have 150+ ping, Majority of players that refuse to kick have 150+ ping.

Ping restrict the Servers and I guarantee Hacking and Kick abusing will go down drastically.
  • I think X-trap is in charge to "monitor" the in game experience for any hacks. Not to say they haven't... but more than likely these hacks are a little tougher to reverse engineer and then patch up.

The higher quality hacks that have more coding in them proportionally need a longer time to patch effectively to ensure it does not come back.

You think that walling hacks are all the same, but probably each hack instance is a different set of code lines, as well as some sort of basic source code (a little confused on this part)

Man sometimes I do miss Computer Science :)

Yeah, X-trap has to find out there is a new hack, X-trap has to find the new hack, figure out how they work and bypass X-trap, then figure out how to keep it from working or block it.

The hack makers have the advantage.
They get a copy of X-trap when ever it patches to mess around with. They see how it changed and see the added and changed codes because they have the old version of X-trap to compare. Finally they find a way to bypass it. Plus there are many hack makers out there all trying to bypass X-trap, and each one may find a different way to bypass it.

Its easier to get in or through something then it is to keep something out or block it

    Wrong section.

How? Hes was asking that Z8 get a program that actively looks for hacks and stops and bans the player that has them. Sounded like a suggestion to me and this is the suggestion forum. He simply failed to realize we already have one.
