CrossFire keeps crashing! HELP!

Hello all,
My CrossFire keeps crashing right after opening, I'll explain exactly what's happening...

Firstly, I'm using Windows Vista Service Pack 2 with AVG Free Version.

1. I download the CrossFire Downloader and install CrossFire.
2. AVG detects a virus in CrossFire.
3. I allow this program and disable my Anti-virus.
4. I run CrossFire as an Administrator and it runs the updater and the hack shield and then loads up the game.
5. Before it even reaches the login menu, it crashes and a pop-up window appears asking if I would like to submit the error.

I've tried re-installing, re-starting and even deleting every single file and downloading and installing again, but NOTHING works. Please help me!

Damn, that happened to me. With AVG.
I haz solutionz (i think)
Try to uninstall AVG. I downloaded a file that was took as a virus... False positive. Then i uninstalled AVG, downloaded again and voilà. Worked.
Try this.

I tried this. I even tried not having any anti-virus installed. Still no luck!

And sometimes it gets to the log in screen and I type in my name but then it closes.

CrossFire keeps crashing! HELP!
