Realism of bullets

Shouldn't a awm bullet be able to shoot through a wall, not just wood? Because i admit i have bad luck because a object sometimes get in my way by a inch when i snipe and the bullet hits the wall and not the target, shouldn't they lose at least like "some" HP?...
