Client File Corruption - Unhelpful Staff

I cant even play the game due to the error "Client File Corruption Detected. Closing Game Client.

I''ve already installed/resinstalled CF (complete clean re-installations) multiple times.

I''m on a freshly installed operating system(windows 7) and have no other programs installed except CF.

Firewall/Security is off and has been off.

I won''t bother asking for your "technical help" again, and I''ll advise everyone not to play this game.

I think they have a 9 year old doing the technical support questions for Crossfire. Either that, or they're intent is to harass me and give incompetent-generic responses.
Anyone know why I get this error in the first place?
