Well you might have a rather old computer in desperate need of more RAM or a better proccessor or maybe both. You're gonna have this problem with most to any downloadable game that is as detailed as crossfire. If your computer is new and what-not, then there is seriously something wrong going with your computer. Crossfire is gonna take up a bit of CPU usage so you have to play it with no background or multiple programs at the same time. Specially if you're using a wireless router.

I dont think its the computer i have a decent cpu AMD Athlon II x2 2.7ghz and i have 4gb ram plus the video card ATI , and i have the same problem it uses betwen 50% to 60% percent of my CPU wich is too much and just started 2 days ago, before that it was running ok, im still trying to figure out what to do -
it's def not the cpu, crossfire runs fine on my old computer that runs a lot less than that... 2.8 dual core with 3g ram, also the graphics card was crap, though it only ran at 10-25% on average.
what will cause it to run at 100% is background programs, or if your graphics card settings aren't setup correctly, try setting those to the factory default.
also make sure your flash, flash player, and adobe software are all up to date, also make sure you do your updates for windows, windows 7 had a few bugs when it first came out, if you haven't updated you might still have those bugs.
also make sure your graphics card software is up to date, if you don't like the default settings for it, try looking up fps game configuration for an ati graphics card. -
It is the CPU cause it is not enough to run CF. I had an E6750 before that got the same power as the athlon II x2 215. Always at 100%. If you compare Crossfire to other games then it uses more CPU power than Crysis 2 does (I tested it) because of the hack protection.
At least in the 2nd case it is definitely the CPU. -
well believe what you will, but my cpu is almost identical and it never runs over 30%... though i have a new pc i just built now that runs at 2% lol, sooo follow my suggestions if you want, should fix the problem, if it doesn't fix it, you might have to reformat your drive and start from scratch.

That's because Crysis 2 is a graphically dependant game, not great for CPU benchmark tests.
