Definition of word "Noob"
Explain me something, because I don't get it. If I have a good gun (like Scar Light, M12s, DSR, AK-47, Steyr Aug, XM8, even M4A1) -> people call me noob because I kill them. If I don't play with a good gun -> I don't kill. If I don't kill -> I die. If I don't kill and die -> I got stats like 0:10. If I'm the worst player in the team -> my team wants to kick me to get better one AND they call me noob. So what? Killing is for noobs and not killing is also for noobs? So playing CF is for noobs? But wait, there is more. If I camp and kill -> I'm a "noob". If I rush and kill -> I'm a "noob". If I snipe and kill -> I'm a "noob". If I spray and kill -> I'm a "noob". "Oh, you just have to play normal, like everyone does!" - What do you mean by "normal"? Everyone does at least one of these things and everyone calls anyone "noob". That's all? No! I even have heard "ZOMG! NavySeals/STAR/SIA/GSG-9/SPOP NOOB, KIK PLZ!!". What's the problem? It's just skins, man, relax. So I started playing knife matches to not hear things like "M12s NOOB! KIK PLZ". So I started to listening to things like "KATANA/SHOVEL/AXE/KUKRI NOOB! KIK PLZ!". Nothing has changed? Nope. Now, left-click is also for "ZOMG SLASHER NOOBS". Wait for a moment - killing is for noobs again? Yes. But there is another thing. "Ganger noob". WHAT!? For example, my team (8 players) kills 3 of 8 players of the opposite team. They call us "noobs" and leave. So it's 5 vs 8 now. There are more of us so we kill 4 of 5 players in next round. The only one left calls us "Ganger noobs". What's the problem again? Your team is made of weak players, so they quit or die. It's our fault or something?
Explain me, please, because I don't get it.
#edit - I guess it may be wrong forum, but I didn't find any Philosophy Forum

Noob originally had a set definition but these days it gets used as a general insult with little to no meaning. Most players will cry about anything that beats them, because crying and complaining is easier then actually learning how to play.
The original definition of the word noob usually meant a player that is overly annoying and never bothers to either learn to play or get along with other players. (ironically the definition that most players that use it fit under).
Newb and noob also get confused for one another alot.
Newb just means newbie or new player who is still learning the game.
The difference between the two is that a noob makes no effort to learn well a newb at least tries to learn. -
Thank you. So I guess I'm not the only annoyed CF-player. I bet the Demonitee and ]40 didn't actually read the whole post buy only topic of it.
And maybe this topic is just pointless -> I got overreacted because I got kicked like 100 times today for using the "forbiden" weapon.

I read it all!
I get called either a noob or a hacker a lot. I just take it as a compliment since I don't care about random no names in pubs. All I care about is the competitive community. -

I read it, and tell you what, i got kicked once for having 50-8 in EE using SCAR HEAVY !!!! but i don't waste my time posting about it.
So please, keep it mature.
I'm not here to attack you (yet you attacked me), I'm here to deliver this small message, we all get kicked in pubs, so it's normal,No? -
there is no forbidden weapons ... it's just k1ds wich can't realize their lack of skills and try to border themselfs with a small word. keep triying to give them handycap by using esl rules to avoid less reasonless kicks ... btw i can deal with anything enemy uses till he dig his own grave by openning his Q.Qer mouth...

Yea the only thing that ****es me off in this game are crybabies and hackers
My last signature said: Waiting for the day they band the hacks and the crybabies. <--- Those people are the definition of noobs -
yes the word is really overused this day. Everytime anyone uses this often i write why dont you get some better words like: and than anything funny. After that im ignoring him if hes writing noob anymore and if hes thinking funny words like i said im doing a little contest and problem is gone. ^^
sorry for my bad english -
To resume (examples in game):
Newb: Who is new on that and is doing the best to learn how to do that, making mistakes of course. Me, as an example...
Noob: Who don't know how to do something and do nothing to get better, just things to f*** our lives trying to be the best. Hackers as an example. -

Agreed about M12s and SL. However i've seen so many times that people QQ about spop and AC. That's just some b.s. If you are so poor that you can't even afford spop and AC, that's ok, nobody blames you, but at least you stop QQing and assume everybody should play 'fair' like you. -
Noob
A. INTRO
I. What is this?
This guide is designed to give you a better understanding of what a noob is, how to recognize them, some details about them, and how to avoid or get rid of them. It mostly applies to online forums, which are the main targets of migrating noobs.
II. Defining 'Noob'
Contrary to the belief of many, a noob/n00b and a newbie/newb are not the same thing. Newbs are those who are new to some task* and are very beginner at it, possibly a little overconfident about it, but they are willing to learn and fix their errors to move out of that stage. n00bs, on the other hand, know little and have no will to learn any more. They expect people to do the work for them and then expect to get praised about it, and make up a unique species of their own. -
I take the word noob as compliment cause I only get called noob by players who are worse than me. That means that I am better than them. A pro would be better than them, too. So noob = pro :P
To make a long story short: I write "ty" when someone writes "noob"
-
No need to worry about all the QQs. If they want to call you noob, let them be. Noob is just a slang for newbie. People nowadays use it to describe someone randomly. They don't even know what it really mean. And the reason that get kicked are: too pro, hack, dislike your ping, use ACE to win for them and kick afterward, ect. And some people are bored so they just kick you for fun. =P
