yes, just go into the crossfire directory and open the rez folder, there will be a folder called snd2, just delete that (make a back up just in case u want it back), goto UI and delete the folder in there called mark (make a back up just in case u want it back).
btw, if u can't find the crossfire directory, right click the crossfire icon, and press properties and press open file location, if it doesnt say that, it will say find target. Press either one of them, whichever one it is.. -

them "restricted files" are .rez files. Which you are not supposed to be modifying. So there would be no way to get rid of that sound legitly.. -
Simply deleting the killmark files will leave white squares on the screen.

oh lol. Well you will have to go and edit all of the kill mark files and make then transparent i guess lol? or to save time, just download the neat package you made lol
