So the fees may be high but I'm still sailing through no problem
then why were you complaining?
my lady got "paid" to go to school as well.
dont complain about the economy if you dont work for your money -
Thank god I have a high average [in Canada we use percent averages]. I might be staying for a 5th year to take some science courses [not the main 3; bio, chem, and phys] but the exercise science courses [one is on the bones, the other the muscles], and some more advanced biology courses.
It gives me a better understanding of the university biology courses, so that I'll be good for the first 2 years.
I've got it all worked out at the moment; and the university that I want to go to [not my hometown one] already has worked out scholarship opportunities with me even if I take that fifth year. -
Yeah well...
I'm like freaking out cus I just came back from the admissions offices of each college I'm interested in....
and.. since I'm half Asian, I know I'm gonna have a harder time because pretty much all the UCs are filled with 50% Asian communities... -

I'm going to be a pacific islander when I apply for anything.
Pacific islanders aren't the smartest group of people, so if they get someone that is competent that claims to be pacific islander they most likely will accept. -
Social convention. Is your education system really messed up to such an extent that you can only apply directly after graduation, or is it just social convention that everyone should bury themselves in debt before they're 20?
I haven't gone too any collage/university and I'm going to be making all the money I could need and more. I still plan on going sometime just for the convenience of a degree or mastery, but nothing more. -
If you have a lot of working experiance in the job field you want, then I think you could skip collage. Is your education system really messed up to such an extent that you can only apply directly after graduation, or is it just social convention that everyone should bury themselves in debt before they're 20?
If not, then applying as quickly as possible shows that you really have a lot of incentive for that field of work. -
It shows your employer after college that you're buried in debt and will accept any pay.Aimoperative wrote: »If you have a lot of working experiance in the job field you want, then I think you could skip collage.

Last Thursday I got an acceptance letter to university of Illinois. Yesterday I got an acceptance letter to university of Iowa.
Still don't know Which one to choose. I've always loved the fighting illini, and disliked the hawkeyes. But Iowa is more closer to home and has the Same oppurtunities. -

How much less can they pay you? the first 2 years out of college are crucial to make you or break you, so taking less pay isn't so bad, and there are plenty of ways to make sure you are not buried in debt, many people manage to fu.ck this up by switching majors, they don't plan anything, or they go into something with no future, people don't get it, you are not going to make it just basing something on a degree that you may love but not something reasonable in the job world. Me for instance, I want to be a photographer, but obviously that isn't the best job, so i'm going to school for an MBA, which is something i like but not love. The important thing is i've seen that photography doesn't have a future, although i do make money off it now going to birthday parties and selling my work on ebay (good $400-$600 income a month) doing almost nothing, i'll just keep it as a hobby. People need to realize you can't always do the things you love as a career and expect to make it, to make it you really have to stand out and not break under pressure which most can't do. -
dude shut up
Whatever bro. You just mad cus you can't even get into any college. Anyone hear that sizzle sizzle burn? Ohhhhh SssssIt shows your employer after college that you're buried in debt and will accept any pay.

Actually taking less pay is actually horrible. All employers look at the pay of your first job and use that as leverage to how much they can get out of you. Every company is like that. -

A job does not have the right to found out that info, they will ask but you don't have to answer or you can lie, it doesn't really matter, what matters is whether you start gaining exp or not. -

Definitely matters..
They will ask, and they will ask for you to confirm that number.
