The men who crashed the world.
Occupy your mind.

I watched the livefeeds on NY last night. I saw a great many thousands who would dis-agree with the "bunch of hippies" tag. And the reason?

Occupations are good for getting attention. nothing more, nothing less.
this system is so messed up, it needs a reboot.
the first step would be to vote and make the right decision.

i really hope the american people are ready for this big change, after being manipulated and injected fear for decades. -
News.
Its getting out of control in London too. A girl has been scarred for life with a rubber bullet in her face.
excerpt.
"News Boot ; London- Occupy London protesters witnessed today acts of violence from the British police which included many innocents and activists as well as passenger. A shocking photo of L. a protester shot in the face by plastic bullet which caused her a hole in the face and a permanent scar.
This police brutality cannot be forgiven and protesters all over the world from Tunisia to wall ST should rise up against the evil system of bankers.
In the meantime Anonymous said that they will not stay in the back watching this happening and they will attack the police by any cyber means even if it took them to hack their banks accounts and pensions they will do it as an act of revenge to their brutality in the UK. They should be expected." -

It's funny because Ron Paul's a Libertarian. -
Anonymous attacking on a cyber front... Sheesh looks like now things are being escalated.
OT: Sir Duke made a post in his music thread on a political aspect on the OWS movement. I commented there too. But anyways:
It's one our sweet cherished rights as citizens to have our voices heard in the manner of peaceful assembly and redress of grievences. I'm all for that. BUT
When we (or they) step out of line and turn it into a violent conflict that right can no longer applied and therefore the "police brutality" has to take place to dismiss a now act of civil disobedience.
What I'm trying to get at is this: great that they are protesting. Would be nice if it had clearly outlined objectives so that everyone, not only the media and opponents of the protest that sacrilege it to some "hippy bs", can understand and agree/disagree with better thought out opinions.
And I'm not liking the fact that it is indeed escalating.
Oh and I got no problems with Wall St. -
My thoughts eh.
Looked at what I wrote afterward, wow.
Well the movement wasn't going to succeed from the start, and if it succeeded...then what?
What exactly are their goals? Furthermore what can they expect to achieve with localized protests? A rubber bullet in the face for some people apparently.
You wanna change society? Cool story.
You want to instill long lasting changes? Cool story.
They should stop wasting time, and go out there tooth and nail and then fight for jobs, though that'll be bad on a different note.
They want to change society? Stop being narrow minded and get the whole scope of the situation, and realize your nothing out of the masses. You want something done, do it yourself and go to the top of these corporations, then you'll be the one dealing with mostly narrow minded idiots. On top of that, learn what happens historically when the reigns of power are given new hands, nothing changes expect on the surface. -
I agree with what they want, but the method to which they are doing is not going to work.
Everyone knows that if you want to get your point across, you need to get the Media involved. If anything, they should occupy the Brooklyn bridge for 2 hours, and then watch the mass anger that occurs. Its still non violent, but when the cops start doing there usual "hit before talk" method, then FINALLY they will get the attention needed.

Try more, split up into groups and cut off the entrances to the Ole' Rock Plaza. -

apparently not.. look at egypt..
I dont think 4,000,000 americans can squeeze themselves in one square, and the number of people who go to tahrir square each day is 20,000,000, Sir, that's a guineas record that can only be broken by egyptians who did more than 2 revolutions in less than a century. The hardships we faced is way tougher, example

See the difference between his picture before the police tortured him and after the police tortured him, there is also the fact that he didnt do anything wrong. -
You have to realize that many of you will be impacted by the corporate greed that is destroying your future. They need to be more united in their demands and how they deliver it. You also need a political party that is not bought by corporations. Heck most corporations in the US were formed from proabition days; mofia. So yeah, they are all crooks.

We're talking about this is my Gr 12 honors Social class and I could type an entire essay on this lol. However, for the sake of my time and yours, I posted this link to an article that explains my viewpoint on this event. If you need further explaining on this let me know.

Join a member-owned bank, transfer all your money (including investments) to that bank.
Get a couple of friends to do the same, all of which also get a few friends to do the same.
You'll have most banks begging for you to return within a week.
But you won't do it while getting high and yelling on the streets. -
I actually agree with this. I still think that more needs to be done to influence the masses though and see these movements having merit. For every single protester on the street bet there is a 100 on-line activating in their own way.Join a member-owned bank, transfer all your money (including investments) to that bank.

Unfortunately, once you're set up in life, it's not that simple: transferring bills, work payments, internet and phone line costs, credit cards, contracts, online payment systems, the list goes on.
It's easier said than done in the real world.
Luckily for me I'm with HSBC, one of the higher-end banks out there.
