Constant freezing

Ive been having a problem where any time that i click on anything, crossfire will freeze. like, ill load up the game and login, then select a server. half of the time, when i select a channel, it will bring up the loading thing and it will stay there forever, with the sound still playing. if i can select a channel, then the loading menu for the game that im trying to join will not stop, evar. ive tried COMPLETELY removing EVERYTHING, too.
