kicking cause of a gun
The thing that ****es me off most is when you use a gun like this (SL, M12, m16 and stuff like that) they say your a noob and they try and kick you. Its just a weapon and if your not aloud to use a weapon and always get kicked, whats the point of buying it? I get so annoyed for being kicked no reason -

I agree - a lot of this is people trying any tactic they can to restack the odds in their favour - if they can shame you into not using an effective weapon they will (and then they shoot you with their AWM) :P
Complaints about these weapons should be adddressed to the game hosts (Z8) for attention by the devs and not to players who are simply using the tools which have been made available.
That aside, anyone who uses an AWM is clearly totally noob !! :P -

Yeah but look at it from their angle when you're using an M12... You're using a weapon that can shoot 1 million bullets in the drop of a hat... Lag and human reactions aren't enough to dodge or to counter-fire the m12...
Then again, it's the best weapon in the game and anyone who uses it are called a noob because the difficulty of using the weapon is non-exsistant... A 5 year old can use these weapons in the game and get constant kills... -

Excuse me for asking and I hope some moderator answer (if known):
But if the M12s is a weapon "improper" as well, why devs stay with her in this game?
We have seen many ideas proposed here in this forum, are passed on some level for them. So why this weapon (like SL) still appear in CF?
How difficult to remove a gun? Since it generates the most excitement in this forum, should be removed.
Not say it should be nerfed. There will always be those who will complain. Get it over with the possibilities of something going wrong. Delete a weapon in the game and ready. End of story. -

Forums are a small part of the cf population.
That logic doesn't work here, because I've seen lots of people in-game get kicked for using an M12s, and even more crying about it in-game.
To use that logic you'd have to assume that it's hard to find someone crying when somebody else uses an m12s, which it's not. -

People cry about everything.

Curious, I reckon the M4A1 Spring is better than SL RD. What advantage does SL RD have over the Spring ? Full dmg box banging etc is hard to beat. -
All guns should be removed then

No, just the M12s and the Scar light. And they don't necessarily have to be removed, they just need to be nerfed.Curious, I reckon the M4A1 Spring is better than SL RD. What advantage does SL RD have over the Spring ? Full dmg box banging etc is hard to beat.
SL-RD vs M4-Spring:
Spray Pattern/recoil: Scar Light wins
Damage: Scar Light wins
Reload: M4-Spring wins (by 0.17th of a second)
Wallbang: M4-Spring wins
Easiest to get?: Tie
Rounds: Tie (35 and 35)
Rate of Fire: Tie
Weight: (probably tie)
Max. distance to 1 shot kill with a headshot: tie (stopped testing after 100m)
So it basically comes down to what's better:
Spray pattern/recoil and damage (Scar Light-RD), or reload time and wallbang (M4A1-Spring).
Based on that logic you should agree that the scar light is better. Damage and spray pattern are generally accepted to be more important than reload and wallbang. -

Good answer, thanks.
As a high-pinger I still like tap & bang
- fragging people that can't see you is tactically extremely useful...
So are we agreed, lets ban all AWM users :P -

I didn't reply to your earlier AWM > M12s comment before, however I think I'll do so now.
The M12s is considered overpowered because it takes no skills to use and you can get lots of kills. All you have to do is hold down the mouse button and you'll get kills.
The AWM is generally not considered overpowered because you have to actually aim and choose your shots, and it's not a 1 hit kill if you hit their legs which reduces where you need to aim by a lot. -

Thats all well and good, however, you fail to deal with the significant point, which is that a sniper rifle CANNOT be used in the way it is used in this game. It is the failure to apply realistic and significant limitations that such guns have that make it a joke. -

The point is that if this game was realistic it wouldn't be fun.
Modern Warfare is (somewhat) more realistic, in the way that you can't jump around or bunny hop or whatever (but the recoil on weapons is very unrealistic).
Also what's unrealistic in every game is if you get shot once, you're obviously not going to keep running around as though nothing happened. When you play games like this you have to realize that some things have to be unrealistic, otherwise the game would suck.
Do you really want to have every weapon in the game basically a 1 shot kill so that things become more realistic? -

Ghost Recon was more realistic re sustained bullet damage - injuries slow you down considerably and restrict your abilities, eg, can't run properly or at all to can't shoot straight depending on the damage zone. They had that nailed 10 yrs ago!
And I get all that - making a sniper rifle more realistic from the POV of weight and balance etc would hardly stop the game being fun however. This is simply the sniper rifle equivalent of assault rifle recoil. The price you pay for a sniper rifle should be the time it takes to set up a shot. -

Then they would be too underpowered to be of use. -

Sure.. But what stops me from using a regular Scar Light and M12? What value does the other ZP crate primary weapons have other than just being rare? If I can do just as well with a GP weapon, why should I spend money on this game for other weapons?
I'm not trying to start anything if I had already.. I just can't see how z8/g4 would allow the scar light and M12 to be GP and permanent with the stats that they have. What's my incentive to pay for weapons that are just as good if not worse than these 2 GP weapons?
Sorry for any mis-spelling or grammar it's rather late so the only thing I have in my mind is my main thought, not nit-picking on the words... -
GodsGunman wrote: »Then they would be too underpowered to be of use.
No, It wouldn't change the 'power' just the shot set-up time.
It would mean that you couldn't go running and jumping around like a madman firing off quick 1 hit kills - but would have to use stealth and set-up tactics instead. -

Well the 2nd best weapon in the game is the regular scar-light, but the m12s is still easier to use.
I am for the most-part agreeing with you, I only picked on one small part of what you said because that specifically was wrong. No, It wouldn't change the 'power' just the shot set-up time.

...
I don't think you understand the meaning of overpowered and underpowered. -

An unfortunately arrogant response - shame.
The proposition is very straight forward - this game has messed up how sniper rifles are used. Other games haven't made the same fundamental mistake - which leads to more balanced and realistic play. -
thank you for explaining this!

and my definition of OP:
there is not such a thing like OP
some things cant bee too much
there is not such thing like too much money
too much strenght
too much wisdom
or too much power
you see what i mean?
the better the gun the better for the user
...but most ppl call everything OP they loose against
You strike me as the type of guy who would try to use the Boss characters in Street Fighter when ever possible. The boss characters are banned from the tournaments because next to no other character can stand up to them. This is the same reason M12 and Scar light were banned from Wogl. M12 is very easy to use from the start and a pro who uses it becomes nearly impossible to beat even against other pros.
The Boss characters were banned in the tournaments because it forced everyone to use them if they even wanted the chance at victory, same thing happened when the Scar light first appeared. Everyone flooded for it and used only it, to the point that it was banned from the tournaments.Confederado wrote: »Excuse me for asking and I hope some moderator answer (if known):

Because its far easier and cheaper to due nothing over it. what do the Devs lose by doing nothing? Nothing. This isn't the first version of CF, they are more focused on their earlier versions and we usually only get things way after those ones. Plus the early versions work differently on how to buy guns then this one.GodsGunman wrote: »The point is that if this game was realistic it wouldn't be fun.

Played the early Ghost Recon games where 1 shot from anything could kill or more likely cripple one. Fun for tactical thinking but applying it to a player base that just runs everywhere randomly shooting everything would make it very unfun.GodsGunman wrote: »I didn't reply to your earlier AWM > M12s comment before, however I think I'll do so now.

Another thing to add, It is very easy to out snipe a sniper with a M12 do to the next to nothing damage reduction and very accurate spray. Only takes 5-7 shots at long range for the kill.
