Can't see my teams IGNs or bomb through walls.
Remember how before you could see your teammates IGN's and the C4 through walls just by looking in their/it's direction? Now I can only see it on the minimap or radar map. You can't tell if the bomb or your teammates are high or low. In GM I can only see my Black List teammates if I move my crosshair over them.
Was this removed on purpose, I'm wondering or is it an error?
This isn't the insert key thing. That just takes the radar away and the abililty to see team IGNs/bomb planted etc. I searched the forums and couldn't find anything.

Check your settings, that those are right.
(i'm not sure if you can even take that option away from the options.)
Your files might be corrupted?
Try to manually patch the game, it might fix the thing.
Not sure, thought.
(Manually patching usually fixes my problems, if my files are corrupted. But only in cases where new patch have recently released.)
Otherwise, you can always try to re-install game. -
Clicking insert once takes away names and the radar. Clicking it a second time brings them back.Click insert twice. Clicking once shows the names and clicking twice shows how many meters away they are.
I checked my settings already. Doesn't seem to be anything in there to fix it.check to make sure your key settings havent been changed, cause insert is supposed to adjust names, delete removes the radar normally.
I thought maybe that might be the case. But I don't know which files to switch out. Any MODs wanna help out here?Check your settings, that those are right.

Do you guys know what I mean though? When you're Black List and someone dies with the bomb you can see where it is? Not just on the radar or minimap but ingame as well. You look in its direction and there's a icon indicating where it is. You can see if it's up high or down low etc. Same with my teammates IGNs. Before I could see all my teammates IGNs through the map(in all modes not just GM or S&D. It made it easier to tell where my teammates were and basically made me adjust my strategies etc because I could tell where they were. Like if somebody died in the vent in the Laboratory while holding the bomb I could tell it was in the vent because you could see it through the walls. Now I can only locate it by going to where it is on the radar and actually seeing it. OR if some doosh glitches the bomb into a wall or something you can still see that it's there.

I can only see my teammates names when I move my crosshair over them. Pressing insert doesn't fix it. It just makes it so I can't even see the names when the crosshair is on them. I can't see them through walls either way. It's annoying. Especially in GM when I'm playing as black list. I can't tell that some noob is blocking a doorway or whatever until I walk into him. I really wish a Mod would come and say something. I want to fix this.

It seems it defaults to turning off names and site/bomb icons every time.
However Insert should fix this problem unless your using a foreign keyboard with odd settings, otherwise I have no clue why Radar is also affected by this button. Try a few of the other keys like delete and see what happens and check your CF in game settings for key commands.
Beyond that, try a reinstall with a clean game setup. -
Uninstalled. DLed a fresh client. Reinstalled. Same issue. But the problem isn't that the radar is gone. It's still there. The issue is I can't see where the bomb is dropped. It appears on the radar but there's no visual of it like there used to be. Also I can only see my teammates names (hovering over their heads, you know?) when there is no wall or w/e in the way and my crosshair is aimed at them. Then their name pops up. Move the crosshair away the IGN disappears. It used to be that you could tell their locations by looking in their direction and you'd see their names moving around with them through walls/floors etc. Is nobody else getting this or was this a purposeful change to the game? Thanks for the input but I don't think you're understanding the issue.
In short: before you could see their names whether you were aiming at them or not. Now you can only see them while literally aimed at them and there's no obstruction between you and them. -

He does understand the issue.....maybe your not understanding the answers given.
When you start CF, no names or C4 icon is displayed
press "insert" once = names and C4 icon shown
press "insert" again = names distance and c4 icon shown
press "insert" for the 3rd time = nothing shown
If as you say, pressing "insert" removes the radar, check the following
check your CF settings,
Is player names set as "insert"
Is Radar set as "delete"
check your keyboard language settings
Try a different keyboard if you have one, something may be under the keys causing "delete" to be pressed instead of "insert"
If the above doesn't help, delete or move system.dat from your (i think replay folder?)
start up CF, redo your settings, restart CF and test -
Ok thanks, I figured it out with your help. I have a weird laptop keyboard and I didn't realize delete was also a hotkey in CF as well as insert and my insert key and delete key are THE SAME KEY! LOL! Function+delete= Insert. OMG! what a brilliant design.
Anyway I feel kind of dumb, but I've figured it out. Kind of annoying that it deactivates every new match but w/e. Thanks for your help. Even though your answers weren't exactly what my problem was they led me to right conclusion. Thanks!
