the reason the game companies don't typically do something like that is because they need to focus all their server resources to the game clients.
that said if they did a p2p framework for it, where if one of the LTs or the leader choose to host a session, then yes I'd be for it.
not to mention it'd probably open more security holes if they hosted all the channels. -

What happen if he don't download the program ?
It's better if he have a Clan Chat System because you need login on the website and you can discuss with your members and not on another program like Ventrillo where you need pay to host a server... -
ZP pays for the servers, probably some paychecks too, who knows. but it'd either be unlawful or immoral to put that money towards another service outside of the client. <-I'm not a lawyer but I know the latter is true at least lol
