Failed to download version.ini

Guys, I got the same problem,
Here is what I did to fix it. Insted of re downloading again, I found in my download follder a file named, cross fire 1075, inside I found the cross fire set up, without uninstalling I ran set up. it updated existing fiels. when the start page came up it re downloaded the new patches and I am now in game.

Here are the steps to take when errors "version.ini":
Step 1: You write in on google.com and search for the "fixing version.ini in CF"
Step 2: You write in the first item is "How to fix version.ini" then scroll down to see the "C: \ windows \ system32 \ drivers \ etc \ hosts
Step 3: You copy this line C: \ windows \ system32 \ drivers \ etc \ hosts on my computer it will show a table of whatever you click, and select File -> Save and then turned off
