why?!?!?!

hey guys ive just downloaded cf but now when i click 2 start everything is ok till i come to logging screen than a window from cf pops up and says ,, Failed to connect to server`` my internet is just fine no lagg nothing my pc has better stats than the requirements and all i reinstalled the game nothing happened same problem when i click ok on the button cf closes... some1 plss help me :/ its been like this for a couple of days now...

    i sent in a report ticket 2days ago still no answer -.- this is my 3rd post with this problem and no1 ever answers... literally u r the 1st 1 writing on my post -.-
  • Have you performed internet tests?

    Try speedtest.net to check you download and upload speeds.

    Try pingtest.net to check the stability of the internet connection.

    Support takes their time in replying, just be patient with them.

    thanks 4 the help :D my internet is just fine the speedtest.net thingy says i a ping of 10 and a download-speed of 11.24mb/sand a upload-speed of 0.9 mb/s which is pretty ok i would say :D ^^

    cnt open pingtest.net firewall and antivirus wont allow the site... and when i try 2 open it the browser crashes...
  • well try to circumvent that. The results are great to know. :)
    Maybe it won't even affect your gameplay.

    Regarding CF, did you put it on your antivirus's exceptions list?

  • im sorry to say but this IS bullcrap... ive just got the reply fom z8games after 4days of waiting which all that says :,, please go to the technical support thread and search for you problem there`` wtf??? do they think i have not done that already??? i also wrote in my support ticket that ive tried looking there to but didnt find anything.... what is going on in peoples heads -.- that is their job helping people with problems on the game and they just copy lines of the text i wrote to be done with it -.-
  • if you are using an anti-virus, for example AVG when you play a game for the first time with AVG it will delay the games loading and a firewall option will pop up asking if you want to allow or block the connection, which you have to allow otherwise you cannot connect. this is a basic design for anti-viruses. HOWEVER if you are using a windows firewall this is not the case you have 2 manually add a firewall exception for crossfire and xtrap otherwise it will not connect if you dont have an anti-virus then you should download 1 i would recommend AVG as i've found it 2 be the best and simplest to use. but your choice on the matter of an AV but all in all try checking for the firewall exception because that is a general issue of not being able to connect to a game you are new 2

    its not that im new ive played tons of times before i also got AVG and on my firewall and avg cf is in the exceptions just for some reason it wont let me play anymore it did before....its been like a week now... and i cant find any solution on any thread for this...
  • exceptions and firewall are different though exception is for the virus detection. give this a try 1. open AVG 2. click "Tools" then "Firewall Settings" 3. look for "Crossfire" it should show you a path location to "CF_G4BOX.EXE" 4. check it says "Allow For All" you also need to find the other files for cf as shown in this pic cfstuff.jpg if they are set to "Allow for All" Delete them and load the game and it should prompt you to re-add them of course i dont guarantee this to work but i've never had any problems with cf so its the best i can do without trying it myself but like i said had no problems with such things so i cant really test it myself lol

  • Don't spam tickets. If the previous one is still open, and maybe only listed as replied, then continue THAT ticket. The support team probably not be able to take you as a customer seriously if you spam ticket after ticket with the same problem and not look at their answer and agree or disagree.

  • ok its official support of z8 games is completely brain-dead and just stupid as sh**... they keep answering my help with answers i already said like 3times in my ticket ive already tried with no luck these people are completely incompetent and stupid as f**k im sorry im not happy with their way of working -.-
  • Are you sending the ticket to the right department?

    Even better, did you perform a search_over.gif within the forums?

    Try a range of keywords, like
    "Failed to connect to server upon login"

    And when you say log in, that is the screen where you input your credentials right? NOT the CF launcher that contains the news and "Start" game button.


    Oh and regarding support, they do not work over the weekends, so that is why there is no help RIGHT now. Most likely you will get another answer on Monday. And please be patient with them, they need as much information as you can give them so that they can properly diagnose and help out with your problem.

    Patience is a virtue. Try using Google to help you with your answer.

    And you still didn't post your result from pingtest.net.

    Can you just upload the pics from speedtest.net and pingtest.net?

    I understand there is a firewall issue with pingtest, can you post here a screenie showing that?

    CF has no answers because they just want $$$$$$.
    They (G4, Smilegate, Z8)
    hire programmers in Korea and claim they can't communicate with them.
    Well, I have a question. If you can't communicate with the programmers, how do you get your "Zombie patch" and "Ghost mode patches" etc etc?
