Why don't people kick? (Not a rant)

    Attacking the websites is ineffective.
The solution I have in mind is to remove the customers reason to want the hacks.
    Ping cap the servers.

High ping hackers far outnumber Low ping hackers for a few reasons.

High ping is harder the Low ping.
With high ping one is at a massive disadvantage against low pings.
Low pings are easily able to beat high pings most of the time.
So in High pings are more likely to hack to win then low pings.

High ping is less fun then low ping.
With high pings nearly always losing to low pings it can't be that fun for them.
So why do they keep playing or resort to hacking? Simple, they have less options in online games. When a low ping isn't having fun they have dozens of other games they can go to.
High pings have very few games where there even able to play, so they would resort to hacking for fun more then low pings who are more likely to go to a different game for fun.

Having high ping and not knowing what ping does.
Having a high ping and not knowing what it does can cause lots of confusion.
Many High ping players swear EVERYONE is hacking, but its their ping that is making it look like that. Because they now think everyone else is hacking their more likely to resort to hacking as well. Low pings thanks to having low ping actually see what really happens in the game, and thus don't see everyone hacking.

High ping players have a harder time to win, have less fun, and most likely have less options then low pings. So they are going to have far more hackers then low pings.

If we remove the biggest cause of hacking, the hacking rate will go down, and the hack makers will lose their customer base. With less customers they'll start looking elsewhere to make a income, leading to less hacks and gives X trap time to patch and keep the game patched.

Bonuses of this method is that it would also remove the high number of kick abusers and hack accusers in the game. Lower the amount of hack reports so support can get through them in a timely manner.

    I said at best.

High ping is not the problem, I play with 150 ping and have a 2 KDR, the real problem is the lack of ethics and maturity of the players, for 80%+ of the community the only reason to play is to win, anything go for this kind of people, so they use hak.s or allow hacke.rs to win. Regards.
  • The easiest thing they could do is to make the account registration better. I mean you can just make a random e-mail address and not even have to confirm it to start playing. Other than that as someone said too much of the game info is not server sided(as in it's mostly on your computer) which contributes to the game being easily hacked

So 3 things to help cut back on hackers would be....

    1. Ping restricted servers, many with different lvls of restriction, having different ranges on different servers. I.E. having one that's 100, 200 and one or two that's not restricted.
    2. Making account registration actually work with the person verifying the e-mail address.
    3. Make more of the games info server sided so that's it's harder to hack the files and/or bypass the safe guards/anti-cheat.

    1. I'd have the ping cap work by capping all the servers but Rookie, Alpha, UK 1, the clan servers, west coast (for the Aussies), and SA 1 (when it comes) have a ping cap of 120.
This way everyone can still play, there are uncapped servers for those who want to play together, and gives the NA players a place to play.

    2. Account registration does need something to make it harder for hackers to make new accounts.

    3. This would make the game get impractical fast. It would require a massive upgrade of the servers to work, which I'm pretty sure Z8 can't afford.

Grats at maintaining that with 150+ Ping, but against the average player these days I can pull 25.0+ KDRs easily, I don't because that gets me kicked really fast.

so nobody kicks the hackers on their team because there's another hacker on the other team.

It is the duty of the team that first has an hacker to kick them, then the favor is returned.

I have seen idiot players in TDM being shot through the wall for 5 mins and the hacker is getting "multi-kill" non stop with a score of 149/2, yet nobody kicks. Then when our team gets the same sort of hacker which at least even the field and allows us out of the spawn they kick him, talk about stupidity:rolleyes:

Why do that when you can hack and risk it all?

I agree with not kicking if they don't. What I do is, most of the time I let them stay for a bit and if people start actually caring, (QQ) then I'll kick.

But the second they start QQing when they have hackers on their team. I WILL NOT. It's a pretty simple concept. I'm not going to be nice to you when your going to be rude donkeys.

Yet, people still don't seem to grasp the concept. I'll record a video and maybe upload it if someone knows a good free recorder (Fraps when I decide to later,)
Ofcourse that'll be without accusing, I don't want an infraction ;)

It's just so annoying. Do they really think I'm that stupid? I'm not going to personally give you a ticket to winning.

it's real funny because sometime there is one hacker on the other team, we ask them to kick him, they wont, then suddenly 3 hackers join our team "KICK NUB HAK!!!"

seriously it is like... * you

Heh, it takes me back to '09 ... My Racker vs. Ur Racker
From then onwards, the game is all about what team's gonna be stupid/sensible enough to kick their racker first :p

I also sometimes use hackers as QQ deflectors... specially if I'm going to be ACE after he's gone. You can blame the legion of morans that just won't put their QQings and kickings to good use for that sad state of affairs.

    .

You do realize most of the hacks are public. :/ That would work if people would actually spend money to hack, but it's a free game. Why pay for hacks for a free game when you can simply get public ones because Crossfire is so easy to hack, people offer them for free because they spend little time creating them.

I know most hacks are public, but that doesn't change who is the biggest user of them.
Its like a webcomic, If lots of people go to and read it well leaving positive comments one is more likely to continue making the webcomic. If people stopped visiting all together would one still make it?

High ping players are far more likely to resort to hacking then low ping.
Four simple reasons why high pings are more likely to hack.
    1. Its harder to play with.
    2. Its not usually fun to play with.
    3. Not knowing how it works makes it appear others are hacking.
    4. Have far fewer options MMO wise then low ping players.

    1. Its harder to play with.
Having a high ping means needed to learn how to compensate for it in order just to do well in the game. High ping requires far more work to play well with then having a low ping.
This leads too some high ping players resorting to hacking. Low pings by contrast would have a very easy time beating most high ping players today, they have less reason to resort to hacking because the game is hard.

    2. Its not usually fun to play with.
We all play games for fun right (accept the pro tourny players that make a living off of it)?
And most won't find constantly losing and being beaten to be fun. Low pings are usually winning and so are more likely to be having fun in the game. So some High ping players resort to hacking to have fun.

    3. Not knowing how it works makes it appear others are hacking.
How many players know HOW a game works? Not how to play, but How the games programing works. The answer would be very few. Not know how a game works and having High ping can make it appear others are cheating. With High ping another player can come around a corner and start shooting at you and kill you before you ever even see him. With High ping the players your shooting at aren't always where you're shooting at even tho it appears you're hitting them. These and other scenarios happen all the time for a High ping player, and if the player doesn't know how ping works and how it affects them many would think others are hacking. Thinking that a big portion of the player base hacks makes one more likely to hack under the excuse of "because everyone else is I should too".
Low pings by contrast see what REALLY happens in the game and won't come to the same conclusion because they don't see what High pings see.

    4. Have far fewer options MMO wise then low ping players.
Lets face it, if one doesn't live in either central Asia or North America one has very, VERY few F2P MMO's options. High ping players have 3 options when there having a hard time with a MMO.
    1. Stay and put up with it.
    2. Leave and hope a there is a MMO that they'll be able to play.
    3. Find a way to make the MMO fun. Ways they make it for fun are: Kicking players they can't handle, griefing others for the laughs, and hacking.
Since 1 is what they've been doing already and 2 usually means no MMO to play many choose 3 instead. Low pings have many MMOs to play so if one MMO isn't fun they can usually go to the next one.

These 4 reasons show why High ping hackers FAR outnumber Low ping hackers.
There are Low ping hackers out there but they're outnumbered at least 100 to 1.
If a method can get rid of nearly all the hackers, then the ones that are left should be manageable.

so nobody kicks the hackers on their team because there's another hacker on the other team.

I just played Factory S&D and was shot through the wall the entire game up to round 5, nobody attempted to kick him and everyone was being spawn killed 1 second into the game.

Then those same players that knew he was hacking decided to kick him prior to round 5 thinking they would win 5/0, then a hacker joined our side and farmed them.

    Mission complete GG
  • you DO have to verify the email, its been like for a while now, lol

lol then how do you explain the fact that i had made the account before i set up the e-mail address that i was going to use for that account. I didn't even get a verification notice but yet i was still able to play on that account.

Can't be that hard to understand now is it.

comes from back in december when high ping players started playing.
Thanks to their high ping and not knowing how ping works they were at a massive disadvantage and lost repetitively. Because they always lost to low pings, they started claiming all low pings hack. Thanks to the language barrier, many high pings have no way of knowing what is causing them to lose and once they hear from other high ping players that low pings hack they started uniting against the low ping "hackers", kicking them out of any games, hacking themselves to get revenge, and refusing to kick high ping hackers because nearly all of them think low pings hack.

In short, because they think all low pings hack they refuse to kick high ping hackers so they can get even. If they just spend 5-15 minutes doing research about the game they learn its their ping that is causing them lose.

If they have someone shooting me through the walls in Egypt TDM and nobody tries to kick, then I wouldn't kick any of ours even if we have 5 of them. And when they keep them for 50 kills and then kick I do exactly the same.

And as for not kicking hackers to stop myself being kicked - There are some games where the whole team is crying about everyone and everything, it's better to let the hacker annoy them since they will concentrate their powers of QQ on him,

Yeah, the QQers deserve their hackers :D

good job, you just contributed to the problem.

It depends on whose hacker came first.

I cannot stand kicking a hacker, then being kicked for attempting to help the community.

Note: Stop trolling, if you have nothing constructive to say, don´t say anything at all. There really is no need to be such an idiot.

above is our problem, not entirely though, them so called E-8 stars, saying they've cheating in pubs, but to them it doesn't matter, and how is it that they cheat well there's only one way really possible to do it in this game, using a hack, at the very top you can go see the post for yourself, but i say once a cheater your always going to be a cheater...to download and use a cheat has the intention of doing something wrong all over it...i only post this here just to show you all how this community needs to suck some things up and start working together
  • your best bet though to avoid the situation of not kicking is to just do missions that involve a # of games or MM/HM(just run around and let every1 else do all the mutating) either way it's only missions...nothing to really gain but 500gp and a dog tag...going for badges on the other hand will get you better gp/items
  • I am kicking every hacker i can, but it just seems useless. You kick 2 Hackers, and you are Limited. - The Team also press F12 sometimes, and are kicking me, because i tried to kick the hacker.

    Kinda sucks.
  • Best solution.

    Uninstall game.

    Get a real game.

    Profit!
  • when a hacker join room , i kick him even if i need the win :)
  • Okay what i suggest is Z8 stop playing with us North Americans and ****ING TAKE OUT ALL CENTRAL AND SOUTH AMERICANS... F,f,s if there giving y'all so much PROFIT THEN MAKE THEM A SERVER. But when I got a hacker, and THEY got a hacker, it's a neutral and unbiased scenario. Evens out the playing field (kinda-sorta).

Bonus points when my team's hacker does better than their team's hacker.

ZM hackers, well can't catch them all, ain't got my master ball.

GM, too many hackusations for me to play through 1 round properly without being falsely attempted kicked or even kicked.

And the good old kicking just to grab someone's ace. *Nostalgia, then rage*

Oh and QQing about obvious hackers while playing ingame makes people lol and not do anything. So to get that hacker kicked, show him to the other team that their hacker isn't worth keeping, (stealing kills mostly for missions).

And I miss those hackusation montage collages people put up :o

  • Ip banning wouldn't work AND THEY DO NOT IP BAN have you guys read the new way there Ban's work. ( VIA Point system) even if they get caught hacking they need to get reported twice before being ban for only A WEEK. to be caught hacking is 5 Points and to be ban for a week is 7 points. How are you so angry, I would recommend you to learn another language (Portuguese maybe) and there you'd have no problem with non-English speakers.

Now that I've screwed you, let's get serious:

No use to fill this forum slang words. There will not be a ban on the SA, since acquired a license for that region. There's no point to ban people who do not speak English, for that reason alone.

I think everyone should be educated with each other, regardless of the language. I also think that it should have a restriction on the ping. But a restriction that meets all the qualities of ping:

    00 to 50
    51 to 100
101 to 150 ... and so on, serving all.

When I started playing CrossFire, it was called the international game (well, should not have a fixed language), then with a chance to prohibit access some parts of it, became CrossFire NA (hence the English would make more sense) .

When the ban was not limited to North America, I see again the term CrossFire International, appears in this forum. Thus, it attracts more people.
