Cf worked for me earlier today, but now... it patched again? then after that i got the same error everyone's gettin. and the client looks pretty weird out with another game in the background, looks like Pristontale or something.

if you go computer>os>program files>z8games>crossfire
scroll down you will see patcher.cf double click that and run it straight from the patcher this should work fine.

i got it to work. after getting the crc error, i manually ran the patcher in the z8games folder.

after running it a couple of times, i got the patcher to work, but the HGWC gave me the rb001 error. so i just installed the rb001.rev

and replaced the old one with the new one in the rez folder. hopefully it works.

I have the same problem and nothing has fixed it so far.

Things I have tried:
Reinstalled.
Completely deleted the files and reinstalled.
Ran the patcher directly multiple times.

I did what deox suggested and fixed the problem with the g4box.exe and replaced the RB in the rez file but after that when hgwc reaches 100% there comes a black screen and even if i w8 for 15 mins nothing happens. It has never happened to me before so i don't know how to deal with it

hmm. i do what you say and i get a error after pressing "patcher_cf" saying Patcher is already running..
soo yee what can i dooo ?! :S hope u can help ..

Lol.Same

This is what happened to me. I start up crossfire and the page comes up to start the game and there goes a blue patching bar that sotps and the start button pops up while the rest of the page is all groggy. So i hit the star button and it loads and patches g4.box v5 and goes smoothly and then after the patch it says error wrong rc detected. But i did the same thing about 2 days ago and it worked fine. I dont know the problem please help.

Most people are getting the error which is " Wrong CRC has been detected. "
Were just gunna have to wait until they have fixed it FFS!

What i think they shud do is unpatch the halloween patch and fix a few things round CrossFire then work on the Halloween Patch so that when it uploads we all don't get dc'd?
