Cant Run Crossfire???

I cant run crossfire today for some reason..... i go in and the pacther comes up and everything and i push start but nothing else happens... then i try it again and it says client patch is already running but nothing is running and crossfire wont load up???? Does anyone have the same problem or any answers to help me? ive uninstalled crossfire and re installed it many times and restarted my computer but it still doesnt work? someone plz help???

i have no clue? i played fine last night but i woke up and it didnt work today.....
Where do you live? maybe it has something to do with that

any of you use avast antivirus?
cause thats 1 of the few problems people are experiencing..
when i open crossfire it loads the launcher/patcher..
it shows the nProtect Gameguard window..
then i need to wait 5 minutes before the blank window comes up..
which appearantly is a gameguard error..
and with this happening my pc freezes..
i can only close stuff that im doing but i cant open anything else..
need to hold my pc's powerbutton to shut it down..

now..
when u close avast antivirus.. crossfire works normal like it should..
u could go in ur options to put gameguard in ur exceptions list..
i havent tried this yet i will try it tomorrow..

so either u get another antivirus..(which brings another question: does this have the same problems?)

or keep avast.. and try to tweak with it..
or wait untill ur hair falls out..
cause i dont see it happen soon that they will fix this..

Try running as an administrator with your antivirus closed as the client may close ports allowing CrossFire to open. If all else fails, wait for the GMs to fix this issue.

ok so i got it to work the otehr day doing that but now it wont work... i have no more ideas on what to do to resolve this but it stilldoesnt work... ny gm's have any help for me or others cuz i know im not the only other one thast has this problem

Try:

1. Disable your antivirus.
2. Go to Cross Fire folder and open patcher_cf.exe.

Maybe this will help you.

Be sure that you are not using a proxy to navigate the internet (like, a proxy in internet explorer) which may cause the problem to connect to Gameguard software

ok soo..... i just did both those things again and it still wont work... yet anotehr reason why z8games fails....
