Alot is not a word.

Well, when English isn't your first language, the education is less comprehensive (I assume, maybe my school just blew)FriskyWabbit wrote: »You had to look it up on the internets? Do you not pay attention in school?
Pretty much just learned basic grammar.
Most spelling practice doesn't exist except 20 words on a test.
You learn from experience, movies etc.
Mistakes repeated by pretty much everyone are the ones you'll start using too, thinking it can't be wrong when so many people do it.
I think that goes for every language though, I don't remember being forced to memorize encyclopedias and dictionaries in my first language either..
Anyway, just my morning message, had to type something to warm my fingers up.
I think the link was because its a funny site, not because he didn't know himself. -

if you can read this without having any problems, you should know that you are special
It doesn't matter. Cuz I am special.
But your right, as long as it can be comprehended in even a small form, people usually get it. -

ive seen an article that as long as all the letters are present and the first and last letter are in the correct spot our minds can put it together with ease. -

well, grammar is something different entirely.
grammar is sentence structure, try this;
i bololnas lvoe are tehy and red big if
i lvoe bolloans if tehy are big and red
the spelling of the individual words matters less, but if they're not in the right order, its all messed up. -

It kinda covers the whole speaking/writing stuff. -

I see what you mean and that was not really what i was after. Did not mean it in such an extreme manner.
I mean it's pointless to complain about a few mistakes here and there as long as you can understand. I'm referring to the mentality that many people on these and many other forums have. If you don't have perfect grammar you're stupid and what not.
In some places i could totally understand that kind of a mentality. But on a gaming forum?
That imo is a waste. -

Text is usually all we have to build our perception of a person on the internet, so if they type like an idiot they'll be perceived as an idiot. -
The point of the thread was to silently humor the laziness of uninformed English speakers.
But I did get a couple of interesting replies including taeyeoNNNNNN. Seems he does not know how to read the thread title, or content, correctly.
It's not about having a perfect grammar, it's about making stupid mistakes and ignoring the very fundamentals of the language. You shouldn't ignore the basics of English regardless of where you are. Whether it be a gaming forums or some high intelligence debate forum.
Apostrophes/spaces need to be used where they belong. -
