You can never have too many rails (unless you're an old gun *cough*SKS*cough*) especially in modern times. Don't like the rail? Use a damn rail cover. Also, Finished it!

And a version with the helical magazine as requested by a Flickr friend.
John Browning would like a word with you. -
Completing 100 years after the first AK-47, the russians decided to design a new AR in the memory of kalashnikov, with an helical mag with 40-round capacity and a bullpup design, the new AK series will have the same reliability of the older models and will also feature a bigger accuracy using the standard 7.62x51mm rounds

I only really found two problems with this weapon. The barrel is a little to long, and the rail-cover stands out a little too much. Other than that it's almost perfect. -

hmm, i like long barrels, they make the weapon precise and make the muzzle velocity bigger
making it powerfullah! xD
oh well, check the second version ;x
AK-147 v2.1
-shorter barrel
-bypod
-different optics and sights
-signature
-muzzle flash -

Work on the blending a little, and also the rail/barrel cover still stands out to much. The barrel looks much better. Try using the holding bi-pod with a custom mount, except have it aimed forwards so it can still be stored and what-not.Long barrel is fine.
Short barrels are for CQC situations.
There's a happy medium between long barrel for range, and short barrel for CQC combat. That barrel was long enough to be considered a sniper rifle, especially considering it's a bull-pup rifle, which means the barrel is longer than it appears. -
Why would a Russian weapon have an Armalite carrying handle?
Much less a "futuristic" weapon. The M16A4 today have picatinny rails under 'em.
Oh, it's just a question of taste, i like those armalite handles with the integrated sights, but i've substituted those with other optics on the other versions :xRequiemZero1 wrote: »Work on the blending a little, and also the rail/barrel cover still stands out to much. hmm.. i think the barrel cover/grip wouldn't stad out too much if it wasn't so friggin detailed with shadows and whatnot, but i can't do many things to make it less of an attention ***** xD
oh well, bigger barrels means bigger accuracy wich means KEELZ!
but yeh, AR's weren't meant for extreme CQC combat like the SMG's, but a small profit weapons would help a little :]
AK-147 V2.2:

Long barrel + bullpup = infinite accuracy.
JK, here's an M14.
Both the suppressor and flash-hider can be swapped out quickly, the magazine has a back grip to allow quick removal of magazines, and the 4x electronic scope comes with customizable cross-hairs to suit the individual operator.
EDIT: Added the smaller picture, because the big one broke the thread's wall. :P
I see you remembered to add the heavy barrel plating. Noticed that missing from V:IAK-147 V2.2:

yeah, it wouldn't fit in the other versions since there weren't many places where to put the platings, but also, a 7.62x51mm gun isn't really meant to be shot on full auto e-e
So, not too much heating, thus requiring less plating to make the heat dissipate

True enough.
I just hopped back on PMG and made me a logo!
Looks great on guns, even with it being so small.
