best card for 130

550 TI ($135)

price range was up to $130, does any1 have experience with these cards, 9800 seems like the best value to me so far.

post fps in games if you do

i'm running i3 2120 which i bought for $80 :P

definitely wait till you get enough money to buy a 6870, it can run battlefield 3 on medium to max settings i think :x
i have a 6770 and it could run bf3 beta on medium without any problems

i feel like an 6870 would be bottle necked with an i3 system, i have enough money for a i5 2500k build which i originally was going to get but i saw people could run bf with a i3 just fine. I mostly play LoL and source/cf which isn't too demanding.

use a smaller video card on the i3, then get some more money and get the new machine, this one with the i3 will be the daily machine, then, when you want to game, just hop on the other machine with the i5-2.5kk, just like i do, but with a pentium 3 machine for the daily activities and an i7-2600k machine for serious gaming (ruinning with an gtx 460 now, planning on getting something stronger or doing dual sli on it)

The 550ti should be the fastest out of the bunch.

And the 6870 will not bottleneck with your i3 system. Which i3 CPU are you using to be exact?

There aren't any games that will benefit from hyperthreading in the 2600k. Even the 2500k is overkill for gaming. People recommend the 2500k way too much around this forums. If you are not going to overclock, there is absolutely no point in getting an unlocked CPU.

the i3 is just a dual core after all

and probably the motherboard will bottleneck the VC wouldn't it?

i3 dual core kicks all of amd's quad cores lol...

i didn't bottle neck literally but it would take the point out of a budget build if i went to a 6850

Yes I am sure. And a motherboard doesn't contribute to bottlenecking unless you are doing SLI with only one 16x PCI lane.
