CF Launcher Freeze

Hi,

This morning when i tried to load CF i found that the launcher just freezes and i cant do anything, i left it for 10 mins, came back and it was still froze.

I tried numerous reinstalls but nothing seems to work. The blue circle next to mouse cursor is moving as if it is still trying to launch but it dosn't. Game was fine yesterday when i used it but overnight something seems to have happened.

Any 1 else having this problem? or have a fix for it plz :)

This is the launcher, no life in it whatsoever :-

    How is your internet at the time of launching the game?

    This freezing happens when the news portion of the launcher cannot load properly. I've experienced this plenty of times in the past. I would recommend clearing your DNS cache, possibly even restarting the router.

    If none of that works, post back here.

    Error

    Well im getting the exact same error as this guy ive reinstalled it no work ive re download then reinstalled not work ive gone to control panel remove a program and removed cf there nothing work please help me it keep saying this. i copied the g4 box onto the desktop and tried to see if that worked but then i get this message >>> the program can't start because DLBT.dll is missing from your computer. try reinstalling the program to fix this problem <<<. then i press ok and well yea nothing seem to fix this. can anybody help at all?

    Auzzie, When you went to Control Panel, what exactly did you do?

    did you check to see if you had the DLBT.dll file? It would be somewhere in the Z8Games folder on the C: Drive (If that is your main drive).

    And again, please refer to my other post, as I am thinking it is an Internet packet transfer problem between the Launcher and the server where it gets it's news, leading into a fail initiation of CF. Can you post about that instead of reinstalling CF?

    not working

    when i went to control pannel i removed the cf game then i got the cf downlader from z8 site dan re installed it and everything i launch it still freezes still. oh and when it says that the .dll file is missing i check everything and its not missing its right there in the open and my internet was fine because i was playing it for a while then i turned it off to get a drink came back it freezes so its not a problem with my pc.

    If your internet is up, and running correctly I might add, then it is most likely your cpu's compatibility with Cross Fire it self, or what One_9 said before. You may try checking going to various websites to see if it is just your internet. @AuzzieBlok3 you shouldn't have gone into your files to remove something from the game, those files on your Main Drive are all what make your game run, which could've made your issue worse. If you want to Uninstall and Re-Download Cross Fire:
    Go to:
    Start>Control Panel>Uninstall/Remove Programs>Find "Cross Fire En/Eu/Etc.">Double click it and follow the procedure to uninstall it. Then go to Z8Games.com and download it again. If this doesn't work it is most likely an internal CPU issue, or your internet.

    Bro ur not reading my post correctly i didnt change any file it just says that theres and error about the .dll file missing but i look in the folders and its right there and second of all i did go to control pannel and uninstall it correctly ok now please tell some information i dont already know so i can fix the error and play crossfire jeez

    oh and socandothat if u read the previous replys ull know that i played it for a fair while until the error occured it was just random and i didnt change a thing so get ur facts strait before u say stuff
