i'm stupid? re-read what i posted. your logic is a complete and utter joke.
someone could get a 'ping check' when entering a room, sure. then they get in-game, their ping goes up, spikes... stays up. if this WAS added, it'd be need to be done properly by also checking in-game.
basically there's going to be a lot of threads saying this game is unplayable due to it 'auto kick' (which would be implemented if this feature was added).
this version of cross fire is international, different pings. a lot of jitter. half of everyone who plays this game is going to have a semi-unstable ping.
z8 has already implemented something a long the lines of this (ip restrictions). adding ping restrictions is a complete joke.

Those few spikers, represent no problem. Problem is in distinguishing the range (not only ping, also the real distance) from which people you wanna play comes.
Sometimes i just dont feel like playing with those dum-dum Turks or BRs, or cheating arabs. -
Metaphor time.
Imagine that you own track and field store and field itself.
You get lots of customers who come to use your field for athletic events.
You have a store on the side of the field that sells sports equipments like shoes, water bottles, energy bars and other stuff. You don't charge anything to use the field and make a nice profit from the store.
For a long time your little business is doing well and build up a decent sized customer base.
One day for what ever reason a group handicapped people want to use your field as well, seeing no reason not to you let them.
For the first few weeks everything is normal.
For some reason the group of handicapped players start to think all the other players are cheating. The handicapped players almost never win any of the events and rather think that its because of their disabilities they think everyone else must be cheating.
So the group of handicapped players start cheating in the events (inching powder, tacks on the field, pepper spray, ect...). This goes on for awhile and then your regular customers start complaining about blatant cheating going on. So you hire a couple of referees to patrol the grounds to keep a eye out for cheating.
As time goes on more and more handicapped customers start coming to the field.
And they to start cheating as well, eventually the handicapped players get a big enough group that they start sticking together and bullying the non-handicapped players.
The regular customers start leaving and more handicapped customers start coming.
Eventually nearly all the customers are handicapped, and most are cheating in the events.
Now for a question.
What would everyone do about the handicapped customers?

The connection needs to be established first.
And btw there are zounds of ways how to get that working briliantly.
I found it very amusing, how only people with high ping are against this solution, like they dont let others to decide who do they wanna play with.
As the matter of fact you are being pretty arrogant and deny the freedom of choice. -

He is suggesting a ping cap to keep out 'paublo' that constantly pings 195+, with the ping cap of say 100 'paublo' could not join the room nor the other laggers.
Perfect...
But then your saying "what if they get in and spike?, it would need to check all the time if added and it would kick them" - You create your own problem and use it as an excuse.... -
you know what i wish they would just do it cuz i fel like this is the end of crossfire like its sinking boat, so z8 should take drastic measures and effing do whats mentioned in all the threads like this one
i wish sadin would let us know if in the future there will be hope for region restricted severs or no and we have to move on.. -

How on earth is this game suppose to be played when these zoles with 250 ping and shooting the entire team through the wall.
The kick vote is useless because it's only the last round the team with the most cheaters on it decide to kick the losers
8 games this morn and only 14 cheats ,like i said 6 months ago legit players are going to start cheating in order to play WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE?
Like i said get a actual working anti cheat and i mean it works and updated daily so it does it's job then there would be no need for a kick vote period.
People have said they don't bother reporting any more [waste of time] frankly it seems all i am doing is reporting[1 game 3 reports all the same cheat]

250 ping is all i need in alpha server cuz its a joke however i only play sniper only cuz of my reg and im still called a hacker, it doesnt matter about the ping, ive seen low pingers hack too. -

I'm assuming you weren't here before they had X-trap... Be thankful there are only so many cheaters in your session of gaming on cf. Back before we had X-trap, you had guys flying around the map with infinite clips and were either using an awm or were using weapons not even considered being released in our version, such as the XM8. In EVERY game, back when the community was actually decent and would kick the cheaters.
Ping restriction has been brought up so many times, its not gonna happen. Our version is for the rest of the world. Unfortunate I know, but its a f2p so you can't really argue for ping restrictions. Please, next time use the search button, it works WONDERS!
