Along with what one_9 said, possible your computer needs a reboot. My old pc would do that and I would have to sit there and let it run for 5 minutes. Rebooting always seemed to solve the issue.

You have no idea. Old 2001 1gb ram 2.8 dual core, with an ATI ATX 300. glad I made my own and saved $400. OT: If it happens again open your task manager and see whats taking up your memory or cpu, and try to figure out why its doing it. Since it sounded like you only left it to grab a bite to eat or something.
