Tryhard...?

Ummm maybe it's someone who kills a player that feels they are too good to be shot ...cause in normal pubbing who really cares if you are trying or not ..the only people who care about how good or bad you are doing are the ones calling everyone tryhards or noobs
-
aka competitive players...
people who would play without having fun playing it.
Well it started with competitive players I believe >.>
The German kid breaking his keyboard, that is a tryhard move xD
Agreed tryhards=competitive players
They don't understand that people who play for fun...play simply to have fun and calling fun players names ...is like calling a competitive player a pubstar ..it's just dumb ..and neither cares about the other...just two different types of players -
I get get called a tryhard in GM alot. (right after hacker, putta, porra, and lixo)
I'm not even trying in GM games anymore, most of the time I'm just trying to stab ghost in the face with AK knife for the laughs.
Lies, everyone knows your a tryhard
jk.
I really, really want to get my hands on that AK-Knife, just need a fewwww more coupons xD -
Tryhards: Players who play a competitive style. Often found in WOGL, or ESL?
Players: Players who can have both the fun side of gaming and the competitive side when they want. Often found screwing around in rooms doing weird things, such as 360 spins then try to kill or suicide off of tall ledges.
That's just my opinion.

360 spraying with gatling gun is fun, got a multikill once from it

There is absolutely nothing wrong with being a try hard. In fact in other communities, being a try hard is perfectly acceptable. It's a style of play, more associated with competitive gamers who try and establish themselves as a better player than your average user. Sadly, this is both a good and bad thing in this particular community.
Most try hards in this community have egos the size of the Grand Canyon because they do well in public games, then when it comes to league matches they fail and end up quitting from not doing well. There is a delicate line between enough and too much. Also, in this community, being a try hard is not generally looked upon as a good thing because no one really takes competition seriously. If they did, giving your best efforts would normally be considered a positive action. -

Anybody want to define me, "TRYHARD". Because really, I just think we're just playing games to our best ability...and they think they're so professional than us.
A lot of stuff flying around in this thread. IMO, it's an excuse people make up because someone killed them who isn't hacking, lagging, etc. but they have to feel validated somehow. Calling someone else "tryhard" is akin to saying "I wasn't trying," meaning that killing you didn't really mean anything.
It's a stupid phrase that is often said in a condescending way, and in reality everyone tries to some degree and likes to win. If I'm playing lazily in a pub room and someone joins the other team and starts rocking, I try harder, and so does everyone else. It's like playing up to your opponent's level, and I don't hate on anyone who plays well just because they're making an effort. -

well for me if these are my way of proving a tryhard:
-when you say your not try harding and your feining for kills (you can see by the way they play)
-dodging bullets when there clearly nothing there.
-sound whorring to the max (standing still behind doors till someone comes unless its gm)
-pinpointing in gm cause u basicly have to be a nolifer to perfect that
-being arrogant to the max
-literally chasing down someone u shot but didnt kill for the kill, especially when he run though ur teammates to get you without shooting one of them
-preshooting every ****ing corner and hall way in the map (1 or 2 corners is fine but when u do it every corner and hallway u go is stupid and a waist of bullets)
-preshooting with a sniper constantly praying for someone to walk into ur bullet
-saying you will carry when you clearly are not
- tryharding in non clanwar games
- when you call everyone on ur team noobs if your team is winning and they lose one round in a s&d, elim, gm
-camping in spawn for kills
-writing this responce XD
this is all i could see what a try hard is, to me theres a difference between a good player and a tryhard lol -
A termed coined by people who can magically turn their skill - gamesense, logical thinking, on and off - "trying" and "not trying".
Of course just used as an excuse for having a bad day.
If hes having a bad day, and you kill him, you're a tryhard (for focusing on the game).
Flawless logic. -

I really wish that the entire community would think as you do Polleus.
We need more open-minded and sociable people playing Cross Fire. -

I do these two things. I am by no means a "tryhard" (Yet another word this terrible community has created in order to justify their whining).
Although I do not "sound *****" the entire time, I will occaisonally stop walking and stand still when I hear gunfire.
Chasing someone down is another thing that I enjoy doing, it makes me chuckle knowing that he has no chance. -

as u saw that i typed i said too the max!!! and answer me this do u run through about 2-3 people to get the kill that ran behind thier teammates for cover? do u ignore the rest of the people on that team get the kill and then get killed for it? when u clearly have the oppertunity to get about 2 more kills if u didnt run for that one? think u ass -

"think us ass..."
How primitive, at least be more creatful when you attempt to insult me. Moronic child.
As for taking cover behind his teammates, erm lemme see, I have this device known as a Flash Grenade ? no ?
Then I launch my frag into the middle of them, and then I pick whatever remains off the floor..
After they are gone, I resume my persuit.
You are the one who needs to learn how to read, and you need to broaden your horizons and interpret more.
Now stop pretending to be sick just to play a video game, go back to school and learn something useful..
And please try to pay attention. -
You know, its odd, but I love reading your posts. They're always towards someone flaming you or has a ton of vocabulary that I haven't seen or heard of. lol. Learn something new everyday from you."think us ass..."

O.o Is that a good or a bad thing ?
They are not always towards people who flame me, I just don´t like kids being rude and arrogant because they are "anonymous" on the internet.
Parents really do need to feel and act more responsibly.
Anyway, the weather is awesome here, i´m gonna go back out
