New Server Suggestion
I have been noticing a large increase in raging on the forum Because of hak issues and IP ban requests. I understand that XCrap can only do so much. I understand the concept of an IP ban in general will not work. A lot of the raging going on are people who invested time and money into the game and are feeling they are losing what they have created.
By chance, would it be a good idea to start a new server. Example... North America. Its a Pay to play server. This will not get rid of all the haks, but the deterent of having to pay and the posibility of the loss of money and character will stop most.
1. Charge a monthly Flat fee to play your one (1) Character - This is Specific. Character must be registered to server. 1st Charge will be for 1 Month to play and a1 month deposit. Credit Card only.
2. With the money obtained from the server use, Add an in game moderator to be in games when available and looking at Hak reports for this server. Income should pay for his time.
3. Anyone caught Haking in game, will lose their character, monthly fee, and deposit. PLUS. You have a credit card on file. If they try to create or have another character associated with the card, DENY!
4. Many people Raging on forum want a better experience. MOST ARE WILLING TO PAY $5 -$10 a month.
If they want Free to Play, Stay on the lower servers. If they want to play with the big boys, Pay to Play.
I know you can not ban someone from the server if they have a different credit card, but most credit cards have Names and addresses associated with them. If they change from VISA to MASTERCARD and have the same name and address....RED FLAG.....DENY. If this denial is errant, put in a ticket to have it reviewed.
Z8 keeps adding servers and are always creating patches to increase income. I understand business. Whats your opinion.

I personally don't prefer the Runescape method of gaming. It separates people too much.
Plus, I'm pretty sure there would be some loss of market doing so because its so different.
To address your points;
1. Some people don't have credit cards. For me, I use Ultimate Game Cards for my ZP, don't see why I should miss out.
2. Ingame mods have been discussed before and are unfortunately not capable at this time.
3. That would mean Z8 would need to retain credit card information, which if I remember correctly, they aren't allowed to do. Since its personal information. -
OK, but the separation may be what is needed at this time. The loss of credit number is fine, but the name and address is allowable. If you want to use gamecards. Payment method is still the same Pay for 2, play 1. When your month is up, your choice is to pay another month or request to use your security deposit. at the end of the period, you lose access to the server. This idea can be tweaked.
Please try to look at it from my point of view. I am in my 40s. Most of the people I play with on Crossfire are around my age. We have been playing these type of games since they came out in the 80's. Most people purchasing haks and using cheats are under 18 years of age. I just don't want crossfire to die on the vine when it has soooo much potential. -

As I said. The majority of hakers are from south american. Yes. A server down there would be nice, but the fact still remains. They would rather play against us than other hakers. I really dont want to get into the Ip ban stuff on this thread. I am looking for constructive critisism on my idea.

SA players = Majority of hckers? Yes. Buuut, why?
OBVIOULSY, because SA players = Majority of players.
