Mods Job=Forum Police. At least that's what I've seen. There to close/hide threads that give Z8 a bad name. Unfortunately, most the hack threads are the truth. I don't fault these mods cause they are doing what they are told to do. I sure as hell don't want their jobs. It's volunteer and pointless to them as individuals.

What I would like to see is mods be given the power to ban players, not forumers, on the spot for hacking and glitching which would help make this site more reputable. Unfortunately, Z8 believes that by keeping this issue quiet that nobody could ever think that this game is full of cheaters. Not only that, but they are protected, seldom banned, and reversed back to the community as racists and crybabies.

I commend those volunteers who truly care for what they do to make this game better but we all know there are a few who assist in creating the environment I have mentioned above.

I hope that one day this game would provide the level of fun and gamesmanship that it had over 2 years ago. This is gonna require some hard work on Z8's part and an attitude adjustment for many out there including myself.

Moderator powers have been debated many times. Whether I can tell you that they're coming or not will never be 100% certain. I can tell you that we do report on a frequent basis though. We do our part. The only downside is that volunteers can never be given 100% responsibility. We will most likely never get the powers that GMs get [for example, the ability to add ZP, etc.], or else we'd be considered GMs...

We, as moderators, aren't trying to suppress opinion, we're merely trying to prevent what has happened many times previous to you being even on the boards, threads spiraling out of control because of the simple fact that the word, "hack" makes many people turn red.

We don't mind if you voice your opinion, but it becomes so frequent, which in turn becomes annoying, that it has to be prevented. We aren't trying to put a blind over anything, nor are we trying to hide the truth. We know there are cheaters. We have threads about such topics. Services are consistently improving. XTrap patches, the game is hack free for a few days. More hackers change their coding, and in turn, the whole process restarts.

We're aware of the hacking situation. Look at the stickied threads in the Barracks. Those are to prevent threads such as hack complaint threads. We don't need those on the forum. Forums are for discussion, not rage. If you wanted to vent out rage, I would use a pillow to scream it into. The boards aren't a place to complain.

Discussion does not equal rage. Discussion is a legitimate conversation. Somebody whining about the game, and not contributing to any legitimate conversation is considered spam. Spam threads are deleted.

While they do convey your opinion, we've heard opinions about the topic too many times, and read the exact same statement, just paraphrased many times.

It's not the fact that you can't do it. It's the fact that it's unwanted, unneeded, and in turn, counterproductive to the forum. We don't need threads that complain about things that are acknowledged. We don't need threads that complain about how or why things are done. It's a game, the developers and hosts don't work for you. You're purchasing their product, meaning that you're the customer, and they're the merchandiser. You have to remember; if you don't like the product, don't purchase it. If you don't like the game, nobody really needs to know, either buy it or not.

Also remember, just because a customer is a frequent buyer, it doesn't mean they're entitled to anything. They may get discounts every now and then [look at our numerous promotions], and they may get some perks every now and then [look at bonus points].
