Need a new GPU

Budget would be 200-300 euros.

My current pc:

Acer Aspire M5300
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GT 230
Processor: AMD Phenom II X4 820 Processor (4 CPUs), ~2.8GHz

I really don't know anything about computers (which is why I bought a prebuild computer).

Help.

I don't think the power supply in your acer will be able to handle the GTX 560. Upgrade your PSU first to something like 500W and then think about upgrading your graphics card.

My friend linked me to a 50 euro power supply which he said could most likely handle that GPU, the site is in finnish though and I don't have the link right now, I'll try to find it and post here.

not sure what you can make out of it.

edit: now he said 560Ti would actually be better, but that the 550W power supply would be enough.

The minumum wattage of power the 560 needs is 500w, go at least 100w above that, and don't scrimp the PSU and buy a cheapo brand.

Go with the one I posted. It's 600W and should be a better fit for the 560ti. Also, I feel like the twin frozer is the best 560ti out of all the others.

Or he can just grab a standard one. No reason to get it because it runs slightly cooler. It generally costs more and just is not worth it.

Sure he can. But since his budget allows for a twin frozer, why not get it?

And on newegg, the difference between the regular and the twin frozer is just $5. So it's not too expensive.

There aren't any real benefits to the Twin Frozr that justify paying anything extra for it.

Yea like suggesting 2500k with a h67 board.

Anyways, I am one of those weird ones who care about the looks of the GPUs. So the twin frozr is actually worth it to me. It runs slightly cooler as well

Implying there's anything wrong with that board.
He chose a smaller case, with lead heavy PSU, a smaller mobo was more suitable.

It got banned for ever for "no reason specified". I am looking into it though. I don't remember doing anything that deserved such a punishment.
