To stop the QQ

so i began playing COD black ops on my ps3, when i die, they have this amazing idea, a killcam, it shows you the 1st person view of the person who killed you in the last 3 seconds, that would certainly stop the QQ, so if u lag or think that a person walls, watch the killcam, now also we should have something like a respawn thing, like if i am playing, when i die, i have to press a button to respawn, cause that gets pretty annoying when your afk specially when u're playing ffa or in the losing team in a tdm

  • it wuold b cool but... it be very bad quality .. :/
  • Doubt they will be bothered doing this cuz it would've been added by now but all we have is a "Killer" sign that pops up.
  • +1 this would stop the farm too
    click to respawn :D
  • Then the 0 second respawn would be useless ?
  • Then the 0 second respawn would be useless ?

but u get the ability to respawn whenever u want, so u can respawn immediately or just w8
  • -1, not hard at all to tell if you got killed by a hacker. this will only cause more lag to the game, and the video would be shyty quality.
  • Its a good idea But , i think this will increase the QQ !!!! because when i see that he is a hacker i will QQ more for kicking him because then i will be sure that he is hacking.

it would help, however it's to complex to be put in +0.5 . in addition its gonna cause more lag, btw this has been suggested before, well.... a long time ago :D

Great idea, but not going to happen.
Sure, it's a lot of programming for developers, or no. :D
  • then it'd be such an advantage, telling your team mates where to find the person that killed you...

but yeah, it'd reduce things. so people don't say h/ack! n stuff...

    Um.. LOL?

if you want daily mission for death match wins you can just not respawn while you are winning and then the other team loses...?
  • not a bad idea it might also make the gameplay a bit slower because of some people not want to respawn eg. *they might begetting spawn trapped so they sit there and wait for game to end*, but it would be nice to know how that person killed you

many people have raged these forums saying "i got kicked" and blaming it on all those QQers, so by adding this function, people will know whether he is a hacker or not, people will be sure when someone says that another hacks, get it?
  • Um.. LOL?

Obviously you must be criticizing me. so why don't you actually post something worth the time instead of just spamming.

OT: you can just hit "save" a video. no need for an in game kill cam.

Well, I think your view on the Kill Cam feels completely off. While some people do save the replay, it gets annoying to play until the end to save, thus making a large majority of the people in the forum have no willpower to even report.

While there still are people who report, the MODs/GMs looking at the replays are a few months behind and only ban the people for 7 days.

IMO The kill cam is easier to have mainly because If we could only save the kill cam, then it'd be not only easier to report hackers, but requires less space on CrossFire than compiling 80MB into a Rar file.
  • People will probably leave this game for COD then.

Honestly, Cross Fire has it's own unique features, just like Call of Duty has, each game has their own unique features and they should keep them.

The game will turn into a bad Call of Duty game if they add this in my opinion, people will probably leave it for Call of Duty too.
Even if it's a good feature, Call of Duty has it and it wouldn't make it unique, and if you want something like that, go back and play Call of Duty.

Cross Fire has their own unique features and I want their features to stay and not add any features involving another game.
  • meh 1st person killcam is okay in a way, but it would put more pressure on the servers to record that instance then play it back while waiting to spawn.

I like the current system of just seeing "killer"over the person's head while the game is continuing

u dont get it do you, cod is a b2p game, you need a very good computer that can run it, and yes cod has its own unique features, but the rage on the forums , kicked be cause of QQ, and so many hackers, also people dont kick hackers and stuff, therefore by adding this, people will be certain that he is a hacker and kick him, and cf is a f2p, i am not sure if everyone playing this game is willing to pay 20$ just for a game, and besides usually people play black ops on ps3

First, I'd like to thank you for the decent post.

Second, my view on the kill cam is it will be worthless. a few seconds where you just see yourself die (by a hacker or not) will not help in anyway. "If we could only save the kill cam" You do have the "Save" feature for reply of videos, ("it gets annoying to play until the end to save") you really worry that much of a video that you can't focus on a game till the end? besides if you want the kill cam to save automatically ("than compiling 80MB into a Rar file") how much memory would you think that would take up? its just stupid.. just save the video at the end of the game and send a report, that's it.

"While there still are people who report, the MODs/GMs looking at the replays are a few months behind and only ban the people for 7 days."
--How would this speed up the process if the MODs/GMs are months behind? it would be the same thing as watching the replays & sending a report of it...
also, the 7 day ban is out of kindness, they give people 1 chance to redeem themselves, to play the way intended. I personally have no problem with a 1 time 7 day ban, then perm ban if they get caught again

If someone peeks a corner and hs's you, it's useful to know if he is looking at you through the wall beforehand, or if he just aimed quickly. Chams can be subtle and it's not always easy to spot someone.

That said, game's laggy as hell already. Ultimately you're asking it to record constant footage of all player perspectives and give immediate playback to whoever gets shot. If that doesn't lag the game to death, I don't know what will.

I think that you're missing the point. From this Thread (http://forum.z8games.com/showthread.php?t=176748) There are plenty of people from the forums who don't report.
The list is almost endless.. so I'll leave some examples here.

I am too lazy to report people. You have to save the replay file, make at least a few print screens. Then I have to report it; what hack? When? Where?
It's too much, that's why I dont report.
And it's useless, because they hack on their alternative accounts.
    VATAV wrote: »
I stopped reporting when I checked the dozens of reports I made in December, Only 4 out of 35 didn't have last play dates up to a week ago when I checked them in July. (All the reports were very obvious hackers, Shooting through walls, Speeding, Aimbots. Ect...)

Even though I used to save replays every time i spot a hacker, i never actually get to reporting them. I find it tedious and boring, and i don't want to stay saving replays or taking screen shots any more. My brother on the other hand, reports people frequently, even if they flame/insult him on channel chat!

I agree, there should be an easier way to report hackers, and rid them from crossfire for good!

I honestly think reporting hackers is a waste of time. The game is theirs, its their responsibility to protect it. Our duty is to enjoy the game, not wasting our youth reporting. And this is how I look at it.
Of course, reporting is an option; but still, hack reports should not be in any game, IMO.

I did when I first started playing. You could report and see the hack ban in like 5 days. Now report takes months to see someone ban. I have reported players 6 months ago.. They still play.. So I give up on reporting....

I also think it speeds up the process because If you had to look in a replay, you'd have to load up the entire thing which although does take a few seconds, Finding where the hacker does its business is harder. Now, Usually hackers do hack the entire-time in-game, which I find great to report, but there are those that just turn them on within a specific point. That's where it's easier to get rid of.

But I do agree with the grace period of the hacking. Some people are definitely don't look legit, but some actually are and they can get a chance to prove them that they're wrong.

killcam will make this game more laggy
cod is on ps3 and b2p
    no one reports hackers anymore
it will make it easier to know hackers
    in other words
this is a very good idea but it will make this game lag

yes its truth i was thinking that and i think it would be awsome idea to put kill cam so yea i hope they will put that.
  • First.. What will killcams do for anything, I mean this won't change the state of mind for QQ'rs

Second.. It would be copying Call of Duty's gameplay and that could be trouble for Z8
