How come the server is so empty? It was full/very populated yesterday. What happened?

I feel like I'm missing some key information about this, but I don't know. I've asked some friends and clanmates of mine, and they don't know either.

I'm guessing that you haven't tried playing a game in Alpha. You can't join games in Alpha Server, it's bugged.
